According to SheKnows, Eileen married her first husband, fellow actor Christopher "Chip" Mayer, in 1985. The couple separated after six months of marriage. However, the pair were unable to officially divorce until a year later after a long and messy separation. According to court documents, Eileen and Chris had restraining orders placed on each other. The documents do not go into detail about what happened specifically between the couple, but both parties were ordered to stay away from each other. In 2016, when the documents were obtained, Eileen admitted in an episode of RHOBH that she was a survivor of domestic abuse. However, she did not state that he was her abuser.
Jon Lindstrom
Eileen and Jon first met through a mutual friend in the 90s and decided to go on a date. After their first date, the actress told their mutual friend there was an attraction, but she did not see a future with him, according to SoapHub. The couple kept in touch for six weeks until the relationship eventually fizzled out. Four months later, their pair saw each other again at a fundraiser for inner-city youth, and the relationship picked up where it left off. Vincent Van Patten
Eileen met Vince Van Patten on the set of The Young & The Restless in 2000. Vince had a small role in the series playing the boyfriend of Eileen's character, Ashley Abbot. Eileen was married to Jon Lindstrom at the time, while Vince was married to Betsy Russell. The couple insisted they remained friends throughout their time on Y&R, but they did eventually fall in love on set. During an episode of RHOBH in season five, Eileen revealed she and Vince never cheated on their significant others while they knew each other but did share a kiss. They later married in 2003 and welcomed their son, Jesse, that same year. Eileen and Vince are still married as of 2021.
