In spite of reports that Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Denise Richards stopped filming with the cast after a huge fallout over rumors of her affair with castmate Brandi Glanville, the actress insists that she did not leave the show. The drama accompanying Richards and Glanville's rumored affair, which allegedly lasted from the beginning of 2019 up until the middle of the year, will finally play out in Season 10 of RHOBH.

A rumor of the months-long extramarital affair first surfaced in January when former cast member Glanville, 47, confirmed that she and Richards, 49, had a physical relationship while Richards was married. Richards has been married to Aaron Phypers since 2018. While Denise denies the affair, the rumor and accusations will play out over the course of this season of RHOBH, resulting in Denise allegedly quitting the show. At the end of the season premiere, a note appeared on the screen letting viewers know that Denise stopped filming with the rest of the women in December.

In an interview with Extra, Richards said, “We were pretty much wrapped actually in December, and I was asked to go to two events that we had. I did not make it to those; that was the extent of me stopping filming… I did not quit the show… The only people that said I quit are some of the people on the show, and they never asked if that was true or not.” Denise could be referring to the cast’s January trip to New York City to see Erika Jayne as Roxie Hart in “Chicago” on Broadway.

However, RHOBH castmate Kyle Richards seems to see things differently. While on SiriusXM’s “The Jenny McCarthy Show”, Kyle, 51, said, “[Denise] stopped, you know, basically showing up. She didn’t want to face anything or deal with anything, so she either would bring her husband or disappear.” Richards added, “That was something I really took issue with because I’ve been on the show for 10 years. There have been so many things have come up that were really, really painful over these 10 years … When you think about the things that people went through on this show, like, I never knew it was an option not to show up!”

It is unclear what contractual obligations Denise Richards has with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and if she will return for the season 10 reunion. Viewers will have to tune in next season to find out.
