If there was one story that dominated season 10 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, it was the alleged affair between Denise Richards and former housewife Brandi Glanville. The shocking rumors first came out while the season was still filming. The aftermath, both on and off the air, was extremely messy. The drama has mostly died down in recent months, overshadowed by Erika Jayne's divorce and legal troubles. But leave it to Brandi to bring it up all over again.
Brandi started the rumors, telling Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp that she hooked up with Denise multiple times, including after the former Bond Girl married Aaron Phypers in 2018. Brandi also claimed the actress said Aaron would kill her if he found out. Denise completely denied the affair. Brandi stuck by her story, even as some found her receipts less than convincing. The two never hashed it out on camera, which disappointed viewers. But it still became the defining feud of the season. Their co-stars, some RHOBH alumni, and even Denise's former friend Heather Locklear, chose sides. A fed-up Denise left the show, but that didn't stop Brandi from talking about her.
Brandi appeared on Australia's The Morning Show to speak about her long-running podcast Brandi Glanville Unfiltered. When asked if she was in touch with Denise, she crassly joked, “No, I mean, we’ve touched in the past- kidding." The 48-year-old continued, “She and I have not spoken since, we haven’t seen each other since I told the ladies. So, not on the show, not at the reunion, not in person.” Brandi was initially supposed to appear at the reunion, but after a last-minute decision by producers, went on WWHL instead. Brandi then claimed she has tried to contact the Wild Things star, to no avail. “I’ve reached out to her just over email saying, ‘We need to, like, sit and talk,’ you know?” she said. “But I have not heard from her or seen her since I said that in Kyle's house that night.”
Considering the toll Brandi's actions had on Denise, it's not surprising the Starship Troopers actress hasn't replied to those emails. It's hard to imagine the Morning Show interview will change her mind. Brandi is, to put it lightly, a very polarizing figure. Some can't get enough of her outspoken demeanor. Others are frustrated by her behavior and inability to accept responsibility. Continuing to speak about the Denise drama is very much in line with what some love about her, and others hate.
Denise seems unlikely to ever return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, though stranger things have happened on Bravo. After her exit, the upcoming season 11 adds Crystal Kung Minkoff as well as Kathy Hilton, sister of Kim and Kyle Richards. Denise's friend and fellow actress Garcelle Beauvais has already joked about needing therapy after filming, promising another extremely dramatic season.
