Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills spilled the tea on why she unfollowed close pal Bethenny Frankel on Instagram. The friends, who have known each other since the 90s, confirmed their long-standing friendship during an episode of the West Coast series when The Real Housewives of New York alum made an appearance. Kyle and her cast spent the day at Bethenny iconic Hamptons home, however, not all the women seemed to get along with Ms. Frankel.

Both Kyle and Bethenny were pioneers in the franchises of the Real Housewives. Kyle joined RHOBH for its very first sean and has been a full-time cast member since then. Bethenny also joined RHONY for its first season but left after season three when she married then-husband Jason Hoppy and welcomed their daughter Bryn. She later returned for season seven but left four years later, right before season 11 started filming.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen after-show, the Los Angeles native was asked by a viewer why she recently unfollowed her friend of more than 20 years, Bethenny Frankel. "She unfollowed me," Kyle admitted during the June 9 appearance. "And I was like, ‘Why do I want to follow someone who doesn’t follow me?' So, I just said, 'I don’t need to keep up with her either, then.'" When asked if she would ever appear on Bethenny's new HBO Max series The Big Shot, Kyle giggled and simply answered no. Even though the pals no longer follow each other on social media, the 52-year-old admits there is no bad blood between them.

"We still talk and text. We text each other," she explained. "I don’t know, she just unfollowed a lot of people." Hopefully, Kyle and Bethenny's friendship can remain intact as it dates back more than two decades. During a 2016 episode of RHOBH, Kyle mentions how the pair met. "When I first met Bethenny, she was working at La Scala Boutique, a restaurant in Beverly Hills," she revealed, noting they became friends after realizing they dated the same guy. Kyle added, "She came up to my table and was like, ‘Hi. I’m dating your ex-boyfriend.’ […] She’s always been a go-getter." In fact, Bethenny was there when Kyle met her now-husband, Mauricio Umansky.

While the state of Bethenny and Kyle's relationship is still questionable, it seems The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star isn't too worried about the state of their friendship. Since the pair still chat once and a while, Kyle is content with where she is at in her relationship with Bethenny. Nonetheless, it seems fans will never know as to why Bethenny unfollowed Kyle in the first place.
