Each Real Housewives series has one thing that separates itself from the other series in the franchise. Besides their expensive lifestyles and famous area code, the women of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are known for their die-hard friendships. The longer these women are on the show together, the deeper their friendships go.
Sadly, not every friendship lasts forever. There are plenty of RHOBH duos who started strong but parted ways once the cameras stopped rolling. On the other hand, in Kim Richards and Brandi Glanville's case, they became closer after their seasons-long hatred for one another. Either way, there's nothing like seeing a close bond between the cast members.
Updated on July 30th, 2022, by Lynn Gibbs: Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has led to deeper friendships among the women. Sutton, Crystal, and Garcelle have now been on the series for more than one season and have made connections with the other women that they didn't have before. Likewise, the bonds between friends that were already there (like Erika and Lisa) have only gotten stronger. While Housewives come and go, there are some fabulous groups of friends on this West Coast franchise.
Lisa Rinna And Erika Jayne
Lisa Rinna and Erika Jayne hit it off immediately. With Lisa working in the spotlight for decades and Erika just coming to terms with her celebrity in season 6, they learned a lot from each other. Erika is a no-nonsense kind of woman, and Lisa is a straight shooter. Together, the two are a force to be reckoned with.
Now that Erika is going through an unimaginable situation with her soon-to-be ex-husband, Lisa has stayed by her side tried and true, even though fans don't necessarily support Lisa's stance. With how serious the claims are against Erika, fans think Lisa should keep her distance from Erika but the two remained glued at the hip. Most of Erika's best episodes involve Lisa by her side.
Kyle Richards And Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave
Kyle Richards and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave hit it off from the start. Both women grew up in the spotlight and had a similar sense of humor. While fans didn't love Teddi as a cast member—many felt she was too boring for the show—her friendship with Kyle showed her at her best.
The two women were so close that their castmates were bothered by their bond and often felt left out. They were always together, side-by-side, and fighting each other's battles, which no one appreciated. Fans supported their bond despite what fellow cast members were saying about them being closer than "just friends." Fans sympathized with Kyle and Teddi because they shouldn't have had to defend their friendship.
Kyle Richards And Lisa Vanderpump
It wasn't only Teddi with whom Kyle was close. She was also incredibly tight with former cast member Lisa Vanderpump. The two frequently bickered and made up like sisters. They were always honest with each other, even if that meant hurting the other's feelings. After all, they had both been a part of the series since the start and had gone through more drama together than the others.
Sadly, these two had a falling out and both appointed the other as a villain on RHOBH. Once Lisa learned that Kyle didn't believe her over the Puppy Gate scandal, Lisa left the series and never came back.
Sutton Stracke And Garcelle Beauvais
Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais joined the series at the same time, but Sutton was a friend in the series before becoming a full-time cast member for season 11. At the time they started, Sutton and Garcelle weren't close friends, but they took the time to get to know each other and let their guards down.
After season 10, the two hung out more off-camera, making their friendship stronger than ever in season 11. And with season 11's storyline revolving around Erika Jayne's divorce and lawsuits, it was Garcelle and Sutton vs. everyone else. Sutton and Garcelle are adamant about keeping their distance from Erika and have stood together in times of chaos.
Kim Richards And Brandi Glanville
It's hard to remember that Brandi Glanville has been a part of the series since season 2. There are plenty of iconic Brandi moments that fans forgot happened in season 2 of RHOBH.
The memorable pot-stirrer is well-known for her disagreements with the other women, including Kim Richards. Above everyone else, Kim and Brandi loathed each other the most. By the time season 5 rolled around, something switched. The two found mutual ground and began to respect each other. Even though they're no longer Housewives, they popped up in season 10 together. However, on an episode of Watch What Happens Live, Brandi and Kim said on different occasions that they're no longer friends over a social media incident.
Fox Force Five
What's the Fox Force Five? It's a nickname given to give close friends and castmates who are still a part of the series (except for Teddi). The Fox Force Five contains Kyle, Teddi, Erika, Lisa Rinna, and Dorit Kemsley. It's presumed they made this light-hearted group as a means of loyalty when disagreements in the group broke out.
The women have posted pictures of the group with Fox Force Five as the caption, furthering the notion that there's a clique on the current season that castmates like Sutton, Garcelle, Diana, and Crystal can't be a part of.
Yolanda Hadid And Erika Jayne
In season 6, Yolanda Hadid introduced her castmates to her close friend, Erika Girardi (aka Erika Jayne). Erika and Yolanda met each other through their ex-husbands and became fast friends. Some of Erika's best episodes were in her first season because of the lavish lifestyle she lived and the fascination around her alter ego.
Over the rest of Yolanda's time on the show, Erika stood by her side as she faced the difficulties of Lyme Disease. Even though Yolanda is no longer a part of the show, Erika mentioned in season 11 that she and Yolanda are still friends.
PK And Mauricio Umansky
Even though Paul Kemsley (PK) and Mauricio Umansky aren't core cast members, they are a pair of fans' favorite friends on the show. These RHOBH husbands have some of the best quotes in the franchise since they don't take themselves too seriously.
More importantly, they have brought their wives, Dorit Kemsley and Kyle Richards, closer because of how much they hung out. In a lot of ways, Dorit and Kyle need to get along for the sake of their husbands' friendship. Now in season 12, the two have only gotten closer after PK and Dorit's robbery and have been supportive during dark times.
The Richards Sisters
Kyle and Kim Richards have been a part of the series since the show started. Their older sister Kathy has been talked about and seen occasionally throughout the show but has never accepted the position of a Housewife... that is until season 11.
With Kim no longer a part of the franchise, Kathy stepped in as a friend of the series and has quickly become a fan favorite. Watching her relationship with Kyle grow has been a rewarding experience, especially since the sisters have had moments of ignoring each other. These days, however, fans have gotten to know the Richards sisters on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and have fallen for their realistic dynamic and friendship.
Denise Richards And Garcelle Beauvais
Denise Richards and Garcelle Beauvais joined RHOBH at the same time and had known each other for decades. With both women growing up as actresses (alongside Lisa Rinna), they made a great team in their first season together.
Things began to change in Denise's second season when the other cast members began to turn on her for lying about the things she has said about everyone (and for her alleged relationship with Brandi), but Garcelle always supported Denise. Denise didn't come back for season 11 but Garcelled mentioned in season 12 that the two are still close friends.
Kathy Hilton And Crystal Kung-Minkoff
Kathy Hilton didn't enter season 11 alone, she also brought along her friend, Crystal Kung-Minkoff. The two have known each other for years and met each other while doing charitable work.
In season 11, Kathy was the only person Crystal really trusted and was the most comfortable around. Given how well these two knew each other (and all the pranks they pulled), it's clear that their friendship is as authentic as it gets. With season 12 going on currently, fans are looking forward to seeing more of this friendship.
