Marlo has been a "friend of" on the show since season 4, and she's always helped to keep the action spicy. Whether she was feuding with Sheree Whitfield, Kenya Moore, or her former BFF NeNe Leakes, Marlo always stood her ground in a showdown. Following the exits of Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams, Marlo has finally secured the coveted RHOA housewife title.
Marlo has been a staple on RHOA since 2012. She entered the franchise as the fashionable friend of NeNe. Marlo didn't shy away from admitting that she loved rich older men who could help to fund her lavish lifestyle. In Marlo's early days on the show, she and NeNe were thick as thieves, and Marlo picked up some of NeNe's feuds with The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members. Marlo and Sheree's infamous season 4 showdown helped set the stage for the drama-filled antics Marlo would bring to subsequent seasons. Over the years, Marlo has verbally battled it out with Kenya, Porsha, and NeNe. Marlo and NeNe's fallout in season 6 led to a heated exchange at a charity softball game. This fight will go down in RHOA history.
After years of stirring the pot, Marlo finally secured her peach for season 14. This week, Bravo confirmed the additions of Marlo and Sheree in the season 14 cast. "It's OFFICIAL! @shereewhitfield is returning, @marlohampton got her 🍑 and #RHOA Season 14 is coming in HOT," Bravo captioned an Instagram post. Considering how Marlo and plastic surgery fan Sheree ended things during Sheree's last appearance in season 10, the two will have a lot of unfinished business to handle during filming. Both women are known for their "take no mess" attitudes, and for speaking their minds.
While Sheree can contain herself until someone tries to "check" her, Marlo is known for not biting her tongue. Marlo has called out every housewife on the show since she joined the cast. Marlo's taken her friend role high enough over the years to secure an appearance at the reunion shows. Her deep friendships with RHOA stars have helped Marlo to ease the tension (or ignite the drama) at group events. Season 13 was filmed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the dynamic was a bit strange due to the lockdown. If it wasn't for Marlo and Kenya stirring the pot about "Strippergate," there wouldn't have been much to talk about.
Outside of her friend role, Marlo is a proud "munty" who gained custody of her two nephews and raises them as her own. Marlo has shared glimpses of her family life on the show and will finally get a chance to fully introduce her at-home life in season 14. Now that Marlo has her peach, The Real Housewives of Atlanta season 14 cast is gearing up to be very interesting. After nearly one decade of keeping things juicy, Marlo is deserving of her full-time position.
