The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams has announced her exit from Dish Nation after eight years on the news talk show. In addition to starring on reality television, Porsha split her time filming daily entertainment news breaks with a group of personalities from across the country. The gig served as a platform for Porsha to show off her correspondent skills, unlike the shade-throwing she does over on Bravo. Her departure announcement comes amid rumors of Porsha considering an exit from the Housewives franchise.

Porsha's reality TV persona helped her branch out and blossom her career to include hosting positions on Dish Nation and Bravo's Chat Room. Her correspondent work helped Porsha break her Housewives stigma after getting into physical altercations on RHOA. Over the years, Porsha has grown and matured into a mother and soon-to-be wife to a Nigerian business mogul. Porsha has been under fire in recent months after announcing her relationship with Simon who appeared on Season 13 as the husband of her "friend" Falynn Guobadia. There has been chatter of a delay in filming for season 14 due to Porsha being reluctant to return to the show.

While many speculate whether or not Porsha will return next season, it looks like the show she was hinting at leaving wasn't on Bravo. Over the week, Porsha took to Instagram to announce her exit from Dish Nation after an eight-season run. "Goodbyes are never easy, and this one is especially hard," Porsha shared in the caption. "For the past eight years, I’ve worked on one of the most fun, collaborative, exciting, and best produced shows on television. But as I continuously start new chapters in my life, it means I have to close others. So sadly, August 27th will be my last day at Dish Nation." The unexpected departure news comes after she recently hinted at starting a new chapter in a cryptic quote she shared to her Instagram Story.

Many of her followers assumed that she was referring to RHOA, but it looks like Porsha was referring to her position at Dish Nation. She tagged her co-hosts to the post that included a still photo of her and a throwback clip of her rubbing down a man's ripped abs. Porsha referred to the Dish Nation crew as her "family" and they returned the love in her comments section. The announcement now begs to question if Porsha is still reluctant about returning to her role as a housewife. Andy Cohen recently teased how many housewives would be returning in Season 14 and said it would be six instead of the five who served in full-time roles last season.

It would be worthwhile for Porsha to remain on The Real Housewives of Atlanta considering all the new additions in her life. She will most certainly want to redeem herself amid heightened scrutiny over her engagement to Simon. The couple is also expected to host three elaborate wedding ceremonies as part of their nuptials. Porsha is gearing up to star in her mini spin-off that will follow her family life with daughter Pilar Jhena and fiancé Simon. She also teased her Pursuing Porsha title that she is using for her upcoming memoir and spin-off show.
