Porsha Williams of The Real Housewives of Atlanta became a trending topic this week after she confirmed her new romance with Simon Guobadia, the ex-husband of show friend Falynn Guobadia. Their confirmed engagement comes after Porsha introduced Falynn on season 13. Now, fans are blasting Porsha for the blatant betrayal.
After being at the center of the strippergate drama last season, Porsha faced criticism head-on in the recently aired reunion. Porsha boasted about being a single woman who is free to do whatever she pleases and clapped back at Kenya Moore for the alleged slut-shaming. But no one knew that behind the scenes Porsha was already building a new relationship with someone fans are familiar with. During season 13, Porsha welcomed Falynn to the show after bringing the ladies to the home she shared with her husband Simon. The married couple gloated about how in love they were and shared plans of renewing their vowels.
So many jaws dropped when Porsha took to Instagram to confirm her one-month relationship with Simon who is recently divorced from Falynn. "Our relationship began a month ago—yes we are crazy in love," she captioned a selfie with Simon. "I know it's fast but we are living life each day to its fullest. I choose happiness every morning and every night. Tuning out all negative energy and only focused on positive wishes. He makes me so happy and to me, that is what matters most." She went on to address the "facts" surrounding her new relationship while avoiding confirming her engagement. "Simon filed for divorce from a previous marriage in January. I had nothing to do with their divorce filing. That’s between the two of them," she wrote.
She continued. "Falynn and I are not friends, and Simon’s divorce has been settled. Our relationship is a positive, loving step forward in everybody’s lives," she added. But her new fiance followed up her post with one of his own confirming that the two are indeed engaged to be married. "I asked her to marry me because we checked ALL of each other's boxes, and then some," he captioned a post sharing photos from their proposal. Porsha's ex-fiance Dennis McKinley was there to support the new couple that he actually introduced. While on the show, Porsha revealed how she met Falynn and Simon through Dennis.
While Porsha received supportive comments from show producer Andy Cohen and former housewife NeNe Leakes, many show fans blasted Porsha for the apparent hypocrisy. "Wtf porsha ! Girl it’s too many other men in Atlanta," one person said. "You are embarrassing us," added someone else. After Falynn was seen welcoming Porsha into her home on the show, one viewer said "Makes you watch who you bring around your home." With part three of the reunion recently airing, Porsha has sent viewers for a spin ahead of filming for season 14. Kenya has already sent out some subliminal shade by sharing a meme of Nicki Minaj saying "Did I lie?!" Looks like Porsha is prepared for all the shade coming her way next season.
