It looks like Shamea Morton is well-deserving of her best friend title with Porsha Williams. The Real Housewives of Atlanta star recently revealed the 'matchmaker' role her BFF played in her current engagement to Simon Guobadia. The news comes as Porsha and Simon face backlash amid his recent divorce from former friend Falynn Guobadia.
It was on Mother's Day when Porsha first fueled engagement rumors after posting a photo slide that seemingly confirmed she had some big news to share. In one photo, her ex-fiance Dennis McKinley smiled while standing alongside Porsha and Simon. But Porsha's hand sported a giant diamond ring and rested comfortably on Simon's shoulder. The next day, Porsha posted up a selfie with Simon where she confirmed that had fallen in love after dating for only one month. Simon followed up her announcement with one of his own confirming that he popped the big question to Porsha. The scandal surrounding their romance stems from Simon's appearance in the most reason season as the husband of Falynn.
Amid all the criticism over her current relationship, Porsha has remained unbothered and continues to tease their love on social media. Most recently, Dish Nation posted a photo with Simon from a night out. "I'm a stick beside him," she captioned the post in a seemingly subtle response to all their critics. In a screenshot shared by The RHOA Tea, it shows Porsha's bestie Shamea leave a comment applauding the couple. “Up and mutha lovin stuck,” Shamea said, at which Porsha responded, “Thank you bestie! Best matchmaker ever.”
Her response appears to confirm how invested Shamea was in connecting Porsha with Simon despite their ties to his now ex-wife Falynn. Simon recently shut down cheating claims against him after a woman leaked photos and videos seating inside his car. She claimed they were taken recently during the same time he was involved with Porsha. However, Simon responded by offering money to anyone who could prove that he cheated on Porsha or his ex-wife Falynn. Meanwhile, Falynn has taken the high road and is refusing to speak out against Porsha and Simon publicly despite the blatant betrayal.
During season 12, Porsha and Shamea brought some of the housewives with them to enjoy a day at Falynn and Simon's mansion. Falynn was listed as "Porsha's friend" in the subtitle. However, when confirming their relationship, Porsha declared that she and Falynn "are not friends." Well, at least we can see why Shamea is her friend. She's loyal to the soil despite all the Real Housewives of Atlanta turmoil.
