Fans are contemplating all the possible reasons why NeNe Leakes from The Real Housewives of Atlanta may have been cut by her management team. The former housewife is coming out swinging at allegations that she is hard to work with.
In September 2020, Leakes left the Real Housewives of Atlanta. Fans were shocked by the news, considering that she has been a part of the reality series since day one. Leakes has alleged that systemic racism played a role in her struggles with Bravo, letting fans know in a video that she was given less than other OG housewives. The mother of two felt like she did not deserve the treatment she was receiving from the network, while others wondered if her ego had gone to her head.
Fans will recall on Leakes' last season, she was a nightmare to film. During a girl's trip, she pretended to go to the bathroom to get away from the cameras, even yelling at her producer to take off her microphone. Now, new information has come to light that claims the housewife is impossible to work with while Leakes continues to promote conspiracy theories to fans. Like any reality star trying to defend her antics, she took to Twitter to share her side of the story. Check out the tweet below:
In the tweet, she wrote, "For all of you that are asking, emailing, in boxing, blogging, reporting etc. The ONLY statement i have...My team DID NOT let me go! No further statements at this time." Leakes seems to be confused as to why the network is annoyed with her, even though she helped further the Bravo Boycott by supporting it. Insiders have been telling outlets that they are worried about her mental health since leaving the show since she believes people are out to get her. She has been leaving bread crumbs on her Twitter account as well. The first came on February 1 when she threatened to name names and accused Bravo of paying off her team. On February 8, she tweeted that she never got rid of any emails or voice messages and called the network racist.
There is a lot of energy behind the idea that Leakes could, in fact, be a difficult client. It doesn't help her case that there are claims executives of The Real Housewives of Atlanta fired her because of her ego either. For now, Leakes seems to be throwing shade with no accurate receipts.
