NeNe Leakes is confirming that she would be "happy" to return to The Real Housewives of Atlanta in order to handle all of her "unfinished business." This confirmation comes over a year after NeNe announced her shocking departure from the show that made her a household name. She also followed up her departure by launching a boycott campaign against Bravo. As time passes, however, it looks like NeNe is having a change of heart.

It was September 2020 when NeNe took to her YouTube to share a video explaining her reasons for leaving RHOA. At the time, she claimed that her exit was due to contractual negotiations. Ahead of her announcement, however, there were rumors that she was getting the pink slip. After her departure, NeNe fired off surprising claims against Bravo, accusing the network of racism and discrimination behind the scenes. Fans were shocked to hear NeNe's claims after she spent years as the highest-paid housewife across all of the franchises. Since her departure, the dynamic on the show has drastically changed, and NeNe continues to throw shade at her former co-stars and face criticism from viewers.

NeNe keeps her name relevant by maintaining a steady press run. She recently appeared on The Real (video below) where she talked about being open to returning to RHOA to hash out her "unfinished business." NeNe said, "Yeah, sure, I'll return to the show. I'm okay with returning to the show as long as we can work through a few things. I'd be happy to return to the show." NeNe went on to dish on how close she is with Andy Cohen and how confident she is that they can sit down together and work out their differences. "I think Andy and I were really close for a really, really long time and I love Benny Boo [Benjamin] and I helped pay for his baby shower and all of those things," the Bravo star said. "I think that Andy and I need to have a sit-down and talk, and we're off to the races!"

NeNe seemed pretty positive in what appeared to be a hint at her future return to RHOA. Her presence has definitely been missed, and even more so after Cynthia Bailey and Porsha Williams announced their exits. Sheree Whitfield is set to return in season 14 and will be the reigning OG. However, if NeNe does come back while Sheree is there, the two OGs will have a lot of past drama to address. When announcing her exit in 2020, NeNe told her fans that she'd see them again real soon. In the months that followed, NeNe opened a lounge and produced a project that might not see the light of day.

In recent months, NeNe suffered the tragic loss of her husband Gregg Leakes and got into a feud after she publicly shamed her former co-stars who chipped in to send her a bouquet of flowers. NeNe's response garnered criticism from fellow alum Claudia Jordan, who blasted NeNe for coming off as ungrateful. With NeNe still being so involved with The Real Housewives of Atlanta cast, it'll be easy to fit her back into the show and reel the viewers back in. Hopefully, Andy Cohen and other producers are listening and considering taking NeNe up on her offer.
