The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum Kim Zolciak-Biermann confessed that she still suffers from memory loss six years after she suffered from a stroke. Viewers may remember Kim from the early days of the popular Bravo series. She was an original cast member on the show along with Nene Leakes, Lisa Wu, DeShawn Snow, and Shereé Whitfield, who is rumored to be returning. At the time, Kim was the mother of two daughters, Brielle and Ariana, who appeared on the show with her.

After five seasons on RHOA, Kim departed the series shortly after she met former professional football player Kroy Biermann. She became pregnant before the start of season 5 and realized halfway through that she no longer wanted to be a part of the series. Kim and her family were later offered their own show, Don't Be Tardy. The new series focused on the Biermann family and saw their family expand from a family of five to a family of eight.

Earlier this week, Kim shared a heartfelt Instagram post of the day she suffered from a stroke in 2015. The 43-year-old posted a series of different photos from around the time Kim, who might have money issues, suffered from the stroke, which took place while she was competing on season 21 of Dancing With The Stars. Unfortunately, Kim had to drop out early on in the competition due to her health issues. Even though she is happy and healthy today, Kim still suffers from lingering memory loss. "6 yrs ago today I had a stroke," the reality star began her caption. "I'll never forget how I felt." At the time, Kim revealed she woke up with a "pounding" headache. However, she thought it was just a migraine as she suffers from them regularly.

"I suffered from migraines regularly so I just assumed that's what it was BUT it was the WORST HEADACHE I have ever had," she continued in her caption. Kim, who launched a new spiritual club, revealed that she took medication for her migraine, but the pain never subsided, and she felt horrible the whole day. After she completed her performance, she flew back to Atlanta from Los Angeles and drove starting home from the airport. "I pulled in the driveway opened the car door & bent down to hug [her son] KJ when it happened.....my fingers went numb," she revealed. Kim felt as though she was going to collapse and tried her best to stay upright.

Thankfully, her daughter's boyfriend at the time, Slade Osborne, was there, and she tried to tell him, "I NEED HELP." He immediately realized something was wrong and quickly called Kim's husband, Kroy, who owes an NFL agent money. He told Slade to get Kim to the hospital as soon as he could. Kim suffered from a stroke that was caused by a blood clot as there was a hole in her heart that needed to be repaired. While she still suffers from slight memory loss, Kim has Kory to help her remember the little things.

Even though the former The Real Housewives of Atlanta star suffered from a serious health condition she is doing better than ever. Other than some lingering memory loss, Kim, fortunately, doesn't have physical limitations. More importantly, Kim feels lucky to have her children and her husband by her side.
