Kenya Moore has left The Real Housewives of Atlanta viewers confused about the exact status of her marriage to Marc Daly. During the RHOA reunion, Kenya gave an update on her divorce while still boasting about being a married woman. When looking back at her and Marc's rocky history together, it looks like Kenya might've moved too fast in picking a husband.
Kenya Moore first met Marc through a mutual friend in 2016. After dating for six months, the two tied the knot in a private ceremony in the Caribbean in June 2017. At the time, Kenya's friends on the show were offended that she kept them in the dark about getting married. Additionally, Kenya was successful at keeping Marc's identity hidden until their first joint interview in 2018. The two gushed about how they found love at first sight and were head over heels for each other. In November 2018, they welcomed their daughter Brooklyn Daly.
In September 2019, they appeared as a family on The Tamron Hall Show (seen below), where Kenya Moore opened up about her IVF journey to conceive Brooklyn. But just two days after their second joint interview, the pair announced their separation. Once Real Housewives of Atlanta season 12 aired, viewers were surprised to learn about the strange dynamic in their marriage. Kenya lived in Atlanta with their daughter, while Marc lived in Brooklyn where he owns and operates his own Caribbean restaurant. While Kenya wanted to make it seem like it was working out for them on the show, their breakup had already hit the press. During Marc's appearances on the show, fans noted his "alpha male" nature and how submissive Kenya became when he was around.
Her fellow housewives also noticed the different person Kenya became around her husband. NeNe Leakes even began to refer to Kenya as "Ken" due to Marc calling her that whenever he wanted to take control of a situation. The tension between the couple was crystal clear, with Marc even walking off the set while complaining about his wife. By season 13, Kenya was crushed after being hit with divorce papers from Marc. Not only had Marc filed for divorce, but he also requested alimony from her.
But during the Real Housewife of Atlanta season 13 reunion, Kenya claimed his alimony request was a mistake. She also didn't give a clear answer on if the two are still divorcing are not. It comes off as though Kenya is still trying to hold on to her marriage despite all the signs Marc has given her that he wants out. Only time will tell if Kenya will be able to keep that ring on her finger.
