The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kandi Burruss' spin-off, Kandi & The Gang, has been canceled by Bravo after 1 season on the air. Fans have watched Kandi since RHOA season 2, and have closely followed her life and businesses from that moment on. Kandi & The Gang, centered around Kandi's family restaurant, Old Lady Gang, followed Kandi, her husband, Todd Tucker, her mother, and two aunts as they showcased the highs and lows of owning and operating a Southern-style eatery. Of course, the show, which took a page from Vanderpump Rules, also featured a slew of supporting cast members employed by Kandi who stirred up some trouble along the way.

Kandi & The Gang viewers have eagerly awaited an announcement about a second season from the network or Kandi herself. As Kandi was hosting her Amazon Live shopping show on November 17, she answered a fan question, captured by OMFGRealityTV on Twitter, regarding the status of her latest Bravo endeavor. "Unfortunately, it is not returning," the RHOA veteran shared. "Bravo is not bringing it back. It's so sad, and I'm super upset about it." Kandi & The Gang isn't the first Bravo show that has been canceled or placed on hiatus, as the network considers a show's future. It is apparent that fans wanted more of the Atlanta-based spin-off, as Kandi stated she wanted to "move on" from the topic to avoid getting more upset.

The Reason Why Kandi & The Gang Was Canceled After 1 Season

Kandi & The Gang premiered in March 2022 and featured a ten-episode first season. The show's energy was light, fun, and shady - the perfect combination for a Bravo reality show. Although Kandi chose not to reveal the reasoning behind the show's cancellation, viewers were made aware of the program's low ratings throughout its initial run. Furthermore, following Kandi's cousin, Melvin Jones, being shot while working at her second restaurant, Blaze Steak & Seafood, speculation surrounding safety elements for the production staff and cast members has also been a rumored reason for the series' axing.

There are very few Bravo stars who have received as many spin-off shows as Kandi has. Outside of RHOA, Kandi has starred in Kandi Koated Nights, The Kandi Factory, Kandi's Wedding, Kandi's Ski Trip, and Xscape: Still Kickin' It. Throughout her time as a Real Housewife in Atlanta, Kandi has taken viewers on quite the ride, giving fans a glimpse at some of the most challenging times in the singer's life. From her tough breakup after RHOA season 2, to her massive feud with Phaedra Parks during the season 9 reunion, there's a reason The Real Housewives fans are drawn to her.

Despite Kandi not filming a second season of Kandi & The Gang, the Grammy award-winning artist remains as busy as before. Viewers will still see Kandi on the upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, producing Broadway shows, developing different plans for Old Lady Gang and Blaze Steakhouse, and so much more. Additionally, in May, Bravo announced that Kandi would star in a new series centered around the revival of her girl group, Xscape, so she is not going anywhere.
