Pokémon fans will soon be able to catch ‘em all while listening to their favorite songs on a pair of Pikachu true wireless earbuds. The Pikachu True Wireless Headphones come from Razer and feature a Poke Ball carry case that doubles as a charger.

There’s no shortage of options when it comes to Pokémon accessories and Razer itself has also been down this road before, considering the company launched a Pikachu-themed limited-edition gaming keyboard, mouse and mat set late last year. However, this latest accessory is one Pokémon fans will be able to use at home, outside, or anywhere else they are while on the hunt for Pokémon.

Razer announced the new true headphones on Weibo, confirming that they are due to go on sale starting from April 16. For now, and similar to the keyboard set released before, it looks like the new true wireless headphones will only be available to buy in China. In terms of the price, the Pikachu True Wireless Headphones will initially launch for 849 RMB in China, which roughly equates to $120.

Cute Headphones, But Not The Most Powerful

For those considering the Pikachu True Wireless Headphones, these are not going to be the best value in terms of the specs or performance. The battery life is listed at just three hours but as these are true wireless earbuds, the included Poke Ball carry case does also double as a charger to keep the headphones continually topped up when stored. The overall battery life (earbuds + charger) totals 15 hours. The sound quality is unlikely to be as good as some of the other options available for the same price, considering there does not appear to be any advanced features of technologies on offer, including active noise cancellation. However, the drivers are 13mm and the headphones do make use of Bluetooth 5.0 which should result in a decent sound quality, base response, and a reliable connection when streaming audio. As for protection, the headphones feature IPX4 certification, making them splash-resistant.

The design of the Pikachu True Wireless Headphones, coupled with the driver size and some of the other specs, do suggest these headphones are a variation of the company’s Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds, albeit hidden behind Pikachu’s signature color and housed within a Poke Ball, instead of the more typical oblong charging case Razer provides. Regardless of whether they are a part of the Hammerhead line, and irrespective of the additional features, the design alone is sure to make them a hit with Pokémon fans worldwide.
