Gaming hardware manufacturer Razer has announced new "Gaming Finger Sleeves" to protect players' vulnerable fingers during mobile gaming sessions. The popular technology company is known for developing various consumer electronics and gaming hardware, though little sweaters for gamers' appendages is a definite first. However, Razer is known to produce products other than electronics, as the tech giant notably created surgical masks during the coronavirus pandemic and donated them to those in need of aid.

As a premier source of gaming paraphernalia, Razer has come out with a variety of interesting products since it was established in 1998. Everything from laptops to gaming chairs is fair game to the hardware juggernaut, gifting gamers with powerful performance and cozy comfort in equal measure. The company's latest announcement is a line of peripherals based on Halo Infinite, allowing gamers to channel the legendary Master Chief when they play the upcoming shooter. Four peripherals have been shown so far, with all of them possessing a color scheme to match the first-person shooter protagonist's iconic Mjolnir power armor. A keyboard, headset, mouse and desk mat will allow a player's entire setup to be themed around Halo Infinite when the peripherals launch.

The latest gaming accessory from Razer is the unusual and rather odd Gaming Finger Sleeve. This cute little product slides right over a gamer's fingers, allowing them to maintain grip and reduce friction while playing their favorite mobile game. The finger sleeves are woven with highly conductive silver fiber, which serves to enhance touch sensitivity and response on almost any mobile gaming device. Gaming Finger Sleeves are only 0.8 millimeters thick, so a gamer's hot and sweaty digits can remain cool and dry under intense pressure. Stretchy fabric also allows the product to be compatible with any possible finger size, so gamers of all ages can experience enhanced performance.

As a technology company Razer is always looking to the future, creating concepts which could revolutionize how gamers operate. A futuristic gaming chair concept gives a glimpse at what the future could look like for those who seek maximum comfort while experiencing their favorite games. The concept design includes a 60" full surround OLED display, which is stored in the back of the chair when not in use. The chair's armrests also include a collapsible chair, meaning that PC gamers can easily maneuver on their keyboard. Hypersense technology and dynamic lighting effects would also produce an unparalleled level of immersion for anyone using Razer's future chair. While Razer did recently unveil and release a new Razer Iskur Fabric gaming chair, the design has sadly not yet reached the futuristic levels of the company's theoretical concept.

Razer has designed and released some truly amazing products, with advanced hardware used to increase the power and comfort of gaming for many customers. However, it is difficult to deny the bizarre qualities found in the Gaming Finger Sleeve. While grip and touch sensitivity are definitely a concern for mobile gamers, wrapping small coats around players' fingertips is, if nothing else, an unconventional solution. When simple gloves can do the trick, selling just the fingers is an unconventional idea that Razer has gone all the way with.
