Ever since she first showed up in The Office, it seems like Rashida Jones has kind of appeared everywhere. The talented lady has shined as an actor in some great television shows, starred in some quality films, and delivered fantastic work as both a producer and a writer. She even helped pen the long-awaited Toy Story 4.

However, the focus here is on her skills in front of the camera. Throughout her career, Jones has been a key supporting character in some beloved movies and TV shows and managed to play the lead in a few of them. Of note, this list will not include any TV shows where Jones only made a couple of appearances, like Chappelle's Show or The Simpsons.

White Fang (7.0)

The first of three entries tied with a 7.0 rating is White Fang. Not to be confused with the 1991 film of the same name, this 2018 release flew under the radar but was heavily praised by those who saw it. The visual style was unique but it was the beautiful story told despite a severe lack of dialogue that stood out.

The setup is simple enough, seeing a wolfdog pup get separated from its mother and go on an adventure to get back to her. Along the way, he bonds with Marshal Weedon Scott, who becomes his final owner. Jones voices the character of Maggie Scott.

Angie Tribeca (7.0)

Here's the case where Rashida Jones was given a lead role and ran with it. After playing iconic supporting characters for a few years, she was excellent as the titular Angie Tribeca in this series created by both Nancy and Steve Carell, which ran from 2016 until 2018.

Angie Tribeca expertly blended the action and drama of a police procedural with the comedy the people behind it were known for. For example, the team Tribeca works for is called the "Really Heinous Crimes Unit." That's all a viewer needs to know to grasp the tone of this show.

I Love You, Man (7.0)

In between her standout run on The Office and her most iconic role on Parks and Recreation, Rashida Jones appeared in this hilarious comedy film. 2009's I Love You, Man is led by the incredible duo of Paul Rudd and Jason Segel, as Jones joins the talented supporting cast.

The film centers around Peter's (Rudd) quest to find a best friend, which he ultimately does in Sydney (Segel), in time for his wedding to Zooey (Jones). As is her strong suit, Jones got the chance to showcase her comedy chops and is a highlight in a well-received flick.

The Muppets (7.1)

There are so many actors who can count 2011's The Muppets on the list of their best work. When the movie came out, it seemed like everyone wanted to take part in it to show their love for the legendary franchise. Jones was among the many and her appearance was more than a simple cameo.

Re-teaming her with Segel, Jones took on the role of Veronica Martin, a high-ranking executive at the CDE Network. She's the one who gives The Muppets the timeslot they need to try and save Muppet Theater. The film was met with widespread acclaim and was a hit despite the franchise not being at its most popular at the time.

Boston Public (7.3)

Rashida Jones as Louisa Fenn in Boston Public

Although Rashida Jones didn't become a household name until the back half of the 2000s thanks to her comedic work, her first real notable role came much earlier. That would be a recurring role in 26 episodes of Boston Public between 2000 and 2002.

In it, Jones played Louisa Fenn, a secretary. The series itself put the focus on the faculty members at a high school in Boston and how they handle the troublemaking students and their own personal lives. Although Jones didn't stay until the end of the show, it was a great start for her.

The Social Network (7.7)

The rest of this list sees Rashida Jones appear in some of the most critically acclaimed projects in recent memory. One of them was a bit part in the Best Picture nominee, The Social Network. The 2010 film scored seven other Oscar nominations, winning three to show how great it is.

Telling the story of the creation of Facebook and the drama surrounding founders Mark Zuckerberg (Jesse Eisenberg) and Eduardo Saverin (Andrew Garfield), this was praised for everything from the writing to the acting to the direction to the score. Jones can be seen as Marylin Delpy, a junior lawyer on Zuckerberg's side.

Inside Out (8.1)

Everyone knows that the pairing of Amy Poehler and Rashida Jones is a great one. They proved that on a weekly basis in Parks and Recreation. However, it's less known that they are both actually in Pixar's 2015 hit, Inside Out, which went on to win Best Animated Feature at the Oscars.

Poehler voiced Joy, the lead character and the happiest emotion for a young girl named Riley. She was basically perfect in the role. Jones had a smaller appearance, voicing the emotions of the "Cool Girl" in a small but memorable scene in this modern classic.

Klaus (8.5)

Alva teaches a class in Klaus

While films like Inside Out are among the most popular and famous animated flicks ever made, something like Klaus unjustly flies under the radar. Released in 2019, this unique movie is meant to give an origin story to Santa Claus and does so in a way that is creative, heartwarming, and entertaining.

The concept follows Jasper (Jason Schwartzman), a postman sent to a small town at war, who befriends a reclusive toymaker named Klaus (J.K. Simmons). Together, they bring joy to children and eventually make Christmas a thing. Jones is a highlight, voicing Alva, a teacher in the town.

Parks And Recreation (8.6)

Ann Perkins smiles at dinner in Parks and Recreation

As noted, the greatest role for Rashida Jones has to be that of Ann Perkins in Parks and Recreation. While most of the cast on this incredible series worked at the Parks Department in Pawnee, Indiana, Perkins was a nurse who ended up becoming great friends with everyone else.

Jones had remarkable chemistry with the rest of the cast and was among the sneakily funny characters. After just over 100 episodes, Jones left the main cast and Perkins was written off to start her family with Chris Trager in Michigan. She returned for the fantastic series finale.

The Office (8.9)

Karen Filippelli smiles in The Office

Although Ann Perkins was her most prominent role, it is indeed the part of Karen Filippelli on The Office that scored the highest on IMDb. Initially, fans were quite hostile towards Karen's arrival on the show as she was a Stamford employee who became Jim Halpert's love interest.

Since the audience was invested in Jim being with Pam, they rejected Karen. However, Jones was tremendous in the role, and looking back, Karen did nothing wrong and was a very likable character. It could be argued that Jones's tenure on the show was the best era for the series.
