Sprawl in Rainbow Six Extraction can be identified as a black goo that collects on surfaces and walls that will slow down the player and speed up Rainbow Six Extraction Archaeans’ enemies. Players will need to know how to remove it to stay ahead of the game. Some important facts about Sprawl are that it can gather in large amounts around main objectives like MIA Agents, Nutrient Nodes, and Arch Spines. In addition, Archaeans and Nests also create Sprawl around them.

Nests will spawn and create Sprawl, but Archaeans will only create Sprawl when they die. Players will have multiple options to remove the gooey Sprawl. The fastest and easiest way to remove Sprawl is by shooting at it with either the player’s Primary or Secondary weapon. A few other options are to use explosives, melee, or building destruction.

A few things players should know when destroying Sprawl with bullet fire is that depending on where the player shoots their weapon at the Archaean Sprawl in Rainbow Six Extraction will determine how large of an impact it will have on removing it. For example, when encountering a large amount of Sprawl in a narrow hallway, if players shoot directly in the middle of the hallway floor, a large amount of Sprawl will be removed from the floor. However, if they are small bits of Sprawl left after shooting, it will make it harder to get rid of as players will have to precisely remove the tiny bits one at a time.

Effective Ways to Remove Sprawl in Rainbow Six Extraction

Rainbow Six Extraction Without Sprawl

An effective tactic to use when shooting Sprawl is to create a path when removing Sprawl. Starting from where the Sprawl is closest to the player, shooting and moving forward from that spot will create the cleanest path to walk on. Player’s should also note that different weapon types in Rainbow Six Extraction do not affect how much Sprawl will be removed at one time. For example, if players use an LMG (Light Machine Gun) or a semi-auto pistol, both bullets will remove the same amount of Sprawl.

Keeping that in mind, players should prioritize using a Secondary Weapon like a semi-auto pistol or machine pistol when removing Sprawl to save Primary Weapon ammunition on Archaeans’ enemies. Another effective but costly technique is using explosives to destroy Sprawl. Explosives like the Impact Grenade can remove a larger Sprawl area than any bullet can. But in turn, it will cost players equipment that can be used on main objectives, wall destruction, or killing Archaeans. Depending on the situation, players will have to decide whether to use REACT Tech or bullets to remove Sprawl from key objectives or important walking areas.
