Streamers NarcolepticNugget and King George recently joined Ubisoft host Chris Watters in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction to highlight the title's cooperative gameplay. Originally announced as Rainbow Six Quarantine, Extraction resurfaced during Ubisoft's E3 2021 presentation with a gameplay reveal and release date details.

The newest Rainbow Six entry marks a big departure from the franchise by adding alien creatures to the equation. Tactical mechanics and teamwork remain at the forefront, though, as teams of three must tackle escalating threats in a PvE experience. Fans of Rainbow Six Siege's PvP qualities may find something to latch onto, as well. According to Creative Director Patrik Méthé, Siege players who push Extraction to its "maximum level" may very well encounter a challenge surpassing that which features in the 2015 hit.

Publisher Ubisoft has shown off quite a bit of Rainbow Six Extraction gameplay already; now the company has shared an extended look at footage featuring NarcolepticNugget, King George, and Ubisoft host Chris Watters. The video begins with the three-player crew wrapping up its first Incursion and moving toward the final mission objective. But nearing the end seems to only invite further chaos, as the squad takes on a wide array of enemies. One alien threat on display is the Bloater, who explodes upon death and emits a toxic gas that asphyxiates its foes on impact.

The above video offers a good look at the moment-to-moment gameplay featured in Rainbow Six Extraction. And with the release only a few months away, Ubisoft is bound to show off even more of the title in action in the coming weeks.

While Extraction offers an experience far removed from the grounded nature of Siege, the new title owes its premise to the latter's limited-time Outbreak event. Taking place during 2018's Operation Chimera expansion, Outbreak dropped Team Rainbow into an epidemic-ravaged town in New Mexico that served as ground zero for a deadly infection. The parasite that wreaked so much havoc has since escaped containment and managed to reach several corners of the United States, including major cities on the east and west coast. Naturally, Team Rainbow has once more been called to get the evolving threat under control.
