In the series, viewers are introduced to a multitude of characters and personalities that come along with their special abilities. However, some characters' abilities make them more formidable foes than others.

Vidar Jutul — Giant

Vidar, Giant In Netflix’s Ragnarok Looking Suspiciously At Something

In the series Ragnarok on Netflix, Vidar Jutul is the patriarch of the Jutul family and a giant out to destroy Magne Seier (reincarnation of Thor). Although the series has the same name as the MCU movie, there are things in the show that are completely different from the Marvel movie, like the presence of the Jutul family.

In the first season of the show, Vidar is head-strong, charismatic, manipulative, and a murderer. For Vidar, the return of any God means the destruction of giants, which is something that he just can't have. He uses his abilities as a way to one-up the humans that are oblivious to what he truly is, and this has led him to murder. These powers include super-strength, hearing, speed, and the ability to shape-shift.

Harry — Tÿr

Harry/Tyr, God Of War In Ragnarok Looking Into The Distance

Introduced as a mechanic in the second season of the show, Harry is believed to be the reincarnation of Tÿr, the God of War. He becomes an ally to Magne and Freyja in their fight against the Giants, where he loses a hand attempting to aid Magne in his escape with the hammer Mjölnir.

Harry/Tÿr has impeccable war capabilities and can easily manipulate a war to turn in his favor. Unlike Magne, Harry is ready and willing to do whatever it takes to defeat the giants in Edda even if it means creating a violent war. With his powers and abilities, fans of the series are sure to see him kick up some trouble and action come season 3.

Iman Reza — Freyja

Ragnarok Freyja

Making her debut on the scene by the end of season 1, Iman Reza is thought to be the reincarnation of Freyja, the Goddess of Love. Iman is a character that says what she feels and makes no apologies for it. Her importance was foreshadowed when it was revealed that she helped out Wotan after school, and her gravitation towards Magne on her arrival in Edda.

Being the Goddess of Love, Iman/Freyja possesses the powers of compulsion and seduction. She can make others do as she says, and she takes advantage of these powers by using them for free shopping and better grades in school. Iman has great potential with her powers, and this will surely make her a powerhouse not to be messed with.

Laurits Seier — Loki

Laurits

The half-brother of Magne and son of Vidar the Giant, Laurits Seier is the reincarnation of the God of Mischief, Loki. In the series, Laurits presents as a rule bender and enjoys seeing others unhappy when it's his doing. He doesn't hold back on his negative opinions and gets away with having to take responsibility for his actions.

Like his Loki counterpart, Laurits is manipulative and cunning when he wants to be, making it easy for him to spot when someone is trying to manipulate him. If fans were to call it, Laurits is powerful through his mental thinking and strategic manipulations.

Magne Seier — Thor

The main protagonist of the Netflix Original series Ragnarok, Magne Seier is the reincarnation of Thor, the God of Thunder. Early on in season 1, Magne and his family return to his birthplace of Edda. His powers and abilities are thereafter “unlocked”.

These abilities allow Magne to run faster than any human possible, super strength, super senses, immortality and so much more. These abilities are just the tip of the iceberg in what Magne can do as the God of Thunder, and this ultimately makes Magne one of the most powerful characters in the series, which can only be expected as a superhero with Gods for parents.

Wotan Wagner — Odin

Wotan from Netflix’s Ragnarok Sitting And Looking Off Into The Distance

Regarded as the supreme God and Allfather in Norse Mythology, it's believed that Wotan Wagner is the reincarnation of the God of Wisdom, Odin. Wotan is introduced to the series in season 1 as an elderly gentleman that Magne helps with his electric wheelchair. Wotan immediately takes to Magne in the series, however, the same can't be said for Laurits, and this is on-brand with the relationship between Odin and Loki in the MCU where certain things just don't make sense.

Although his identity is hinted at through his appearance of the eye patch and subtle advice, it's not fully confirmed until after Wenche is murdered by the giants. Along with being the all-powerful God of Wisdom, Odin possesses the powers of inspiration, weather manipulation (like Magne), astral projection, illusion casting and so many more. With these amazing abilities, Odin can be considered the most powerful God and character in the series.
