Varuna Point is one of the new locations available in the new update for Raft, called "The Final Chapter." Varuna Point is the sixth location in the main story and the first new location in the update that players will visit. Varuna Point is made up of two submerged buildings still under construction, although nobody has worked on them in a long time, so they stand as half-finished structures occupied by all kinds of marine life, including the Rhino Shark boss. In addition to the Rhino Shark, players will encounter jellyfish, Anglerfish, and Lurkers while exploring inside.
Varuna Point in Raft: The Final Chapter is a visitable island, but most of it is underwater. Like an iceberg, most of the structure is submerged. Players need to find oxygen bubbles while swimming underwater to avoid having to resurface. While at Varuna Point, players need to navigate puzzles, enemies, traps and engage in a boss fight before completing the story and moving on to the next island, Temperance.
To find Varuna Point in Raft: The Final Chapter, players need to be playing through story mode, as it's an island that is part of the main plotline. Prior to getting the coordinates for Varuna Point, players must have already visited and obtained the locations for the Radio Tower, Vasagatan, Balboa Island, Caravan Town, and Tangaroa.
Where to Find Varuna Point in Raft: The Final Chapter
After completing Tangaroa, the previous island from the last update, players will get the coordinates to Varuna Point in their book. Press "T" to open the book, and the coordinates for Varuna Point, #7528, will be listed. Head to the navigation device and change the coordinates to the ones for Varuna Point. The new island will appear on your radar, and the Raft will sail towards it.
Once players arrive at Varuna Point in Raft, they need to investigate the underwater spotlights between the two buildings. This will kickstart the quest for this location, which involves finding four spotlight parts to fix the broken spotlight. In addition to spotlight parts, players will find the Motherload Key, a Crane Key, some more Blueprints, and the code to the next location: Temperance. The Blueprints that players can find at Varuna Point are for an Advanced Battery, an Advanced Head Light, a Wind Turbine, and an Electric Grill.
While exploring Varuna Point, and before making it to the end where the Blueprints are, players will have to fight the first Boss of the game in Raft: a terrifying, massive Shark Rhino hybrid. Weapons cannot injure the Rhino Shark or any other items players may have, so instead, use the environment to hurt the Rhino Shark. First, players must get the shark to chase them into support pillars. Players can then place an Explosive Barrel, bait the shark to ram into the barrel, and the next phase of the Rhino Shark boss fight will open up. Like any classic game, the Boss requires three hits before being defeated. Players will also earn the achievement "Explosive Force!" once the Rhino Shark is dead.
