According to John Krasinski, one of the stunts in A Quiet Place Part II almost put his and Emily Blunt's marriage at risk. Krasinski and Blunt are arguably one of the most beloved celebrity couples out there, to the point where fans want them to play iconic comic book couple Reed Richards and Sue Storm in the MCU. In 2018, the two joined forces on A Quiet Placewhich Krasinski co-wrote and directed in addition to starring alongside Blunt. The real-life couple played Evelyn and Lee Abbott, two parents trying to raise their children in a world that has been overrun by monsters with heightened hearing.

A Quiet Place turned into a surprise hit, grossing over $300 million worldwide. A sequel was soon announced, with Krasinski once again stepping into the director's chair. A Quiet Place Part II picks up right after the first film ended, with Evelyn and her two children venturing out into a world they hardly recognize to find more survivors. New additions to the cast include Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou, with Krasinski making a cameo appearance following his character's death in the first installment.

While speaking to CinemaBlendKrasinski joked that one particular stunt threatened his and Blunt's marriage. The stunt in question can be seen in the film's first trailer, when Evelyn has to drive backwards to avoid colliding with a tour bus. Krasinski explains it like this:

Emily's [stunt] is so real. I think I put my marriage on the line when I put her in the car. That's true. Like when I was explaining to her on set all the things that were going to happen and I said, ‘You're going to hit this stunt man, that car is going to come three feet from you and then this bus is actually going to clock at 40 miles an hour,' her face fell and she went, ‘But not really.’ And I went, ‘No, no, the bus is coming at you at 40 miles.’ That's a real bus, and that bus hits that car and all that is totally real.

Early reactions for A Quiet Place Part II have been largely positive, with many saying it's a worthy continuation of the first. If those reactions translate to solid reviews, then A Quiet Place Part II could manage to be just as well-received as the first, which earned a 95% Rotten Tomatoes score. Financially, current box office projections have A Quiet Place Part II opening higher than the first with a potential $60 million opening weekend, which would be an impressive start for a horror sequel.

While it's very likely that Blunt gave her husband some stern words when it came time to do the aforementioned stunt, the two probably weren't going to break up over it. A Quiet Place proved Blunt and Krasinski work exceptionally well together, and expectations are high for this second outing. Provided it does well, there could even be a Part III farther down the line if Krasinski and Blunt are willing. A third film might not work out as well if either of them leave, so here's hoping Evelyn lives to see the end of A Quiet Place Part II.
