Fans can rejoice, for Thor 4 has been confirmed and will be ready for viewing within the next few years. The even better news is that Taika Waititi will be returning to direct, so you can expect the film to stay faithful to the previous material we’ve seen thus far.

This naturally raises questions over whether we’ll be having our burning questions be answered. Avengers: Endgame might have largely been the ending to most storylines, but it still didn’t resolve all the queries we had over the MCU. Thor 4 brings with it the opportunity for us to have these 10 questions answered, and we’ll be waiting with barely concealed excitement to watch this film.

What Happened In The Universe After The Snap?

So far, we’ve seen the status of Earth after the reversal of the Snap by Hulk as of Spider-Man: Far From Home, but that film failed to show us of any of the fallout from the revival of the trillions of lives across the universe.

Since Thor 4 is sure to feature worlds in outer space, we should be in line to see the effect of not only the reversal, but also of the original Snap as well. Captain Marvel did mention that hundreds of worlds were suffering, and Thor 4 can show us what the result of this mass genocide brought to other planets.

What Happened To Xandar?

Sure, Xandar is more affiliated with the Guardians of the Galaxy films than Thor, but it was the God of Thunder who mentioned the decimation of Xandar in Avengers: Infinity War. Even in Thor: Ragnarok, Valkyrie pointed out Xandar as a stopover before Asgard, making it a planet that has the potential to be seen further.

Unlike other planets, Xandar was already killed halfway by Thanos before the Snap, and no doubt this world is in tatters as of now. With Thor being unsure of his place in the universe, we can see him travel to Xandar to find himself—it worked like a charm for the Guardians, didn’t it?

What Became Of Professor Hulk?

Professor Hulk talking to Natasha in Avengers: Endgame

We left Hulk back on Earth in Avengers: Endgame, but can you honestly think of any other movie in the upcoming releases where Hulk might be featured? At least he and Thor have a close personal friendship, and Banner also has an established relationship with Valkyrie to give him more reason to be in Thor 4.

Other than this film, we just can’t think of any other movie that can answer what Bruce is up to now. He had an incomplete ending in Avengers: Endgame, and we’re burning to know what became of him.

Can The Universe Survive Without The Infinity Stones?

Doctor Strange had established that the Infinity Stones were what helped keep the universe in harmony, with Earth in particular protected because the Masters of the Mystic Arts had the Time Stone. Now that all stones are destroyed, we’d like to know how the universe is still existing.

The odds are the Infinity Stones won’t be referenced in Thor 4>, but we think there’s a chance some other important information might come to light. If not, then at least an explanation over how the universe truly functions would be the next best thing. There are still plenty of objects to derive from the comics to give us a worthy clarification over this.

What Are The Guardians Of The Galaxy Up To?

Peter and Gamora lean on a balcony in Guardians of the Galaxy

We’ll obviously know this for sure by the time Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 rolls out, but it’s still unclear whether this film or Thor 4 will be released first. If the next Thor is the first to come out, then we definitely deserve an explanation as to why they aren’t featured in this movie.

You’ll remember that Thor joined the Guardians at the end of Avengers: Endgame, and if we find him on his own with no clues as to why he’s not in the group anymore, that would be a huge question to leave us hanging with.

What Exactly Are Thor's Powers?

Avengers Endgame Thor Stormbreaker Mjolnir Chris Hemsworth

Thor: Ragnarok had us believe Thor had finally unlocked all of his powers by the climax, only for Avengers: Infinity War to show a beaten Thor absolutely having had his butt handed to him by Thanos. However, he would then later take the full force of a star with no lasting damage. In Avengers: Endgame, Fat Thor again easily lost to Thanos despite having both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir, the former of which had originally helped Thor kill Thanos.

All this is a whole lot of inconsistency over Thor’s powers, and the next movie should hopefully have some parts of it dedicated to informing the audience exactly how he ticks. Are his powers based on his physique and stamina, or is there more to be seen?

Who Is The Next Big Bad Of The MCU?

Cate Blanchett as Hela in Thor Ragnarok

The first Thor film was responsible for handing us the main antagonist of The Avengers in Loki, who in turn introduced us to the overall big bad of the Infinity War in Thanos. We can’t picture the main baddie appearing in films like Black Widow or Spider-Man, which leaves Thor 4 as the candidate to present to the audience whoever it is.

If nothing else, we’d like to know whatever happened to Hela, whom we didn’t actually see die, as her body was nowhere to be found. Is there any chance Hela might turn out to be the main antagonist of the series going forward?

What Is The Status Of The Nine Realms?

Thor 2 The Dark World Official Still Photo Nine Realms

The impact that Thanos had on the nine realms was world-shattering. Nidavellir is basically no more; Asgard was destroyed; Muspelheim and Hel are most likely now barren wastelands; and Jotunheim seems to have been abandoned long ago.

All in all, the nine realms are in absolute tatters, and since Thor was meant to be the protector of these realms, he must feel as if he has a duty to set things right. Now that Asgard isn’t there to watch over these places, who’s to say there won’t be further devastation in store for the nine realms?

Are The Avengers Now Universally Known?

At the beginning of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the school children made an in memoriam montage for the Avengers who had died saving the universe and Iron Man was renowned as a martyr, making it clear the events of the Battle of Earth were common news in the world.

However, are we to believe the people in other planets simply accepted the victims of the Snap came back with no explanations at all? At the end of Avengers: Endgame, we saw the Ravagers join the fray against Thanos, leaving the possibility out that beings in the universe now know of the Avengers. How cool would it be to see an Iron Man poster in a far-off planet that the heroes visit in Thor 4? For now, we can only wonder if the Avengers got their due credit or not.

Is Loki Good Or Evil?

Thor and Loki look up in Thor.

Avengers: Endgame saw an alternate Loki escape with the Tesseract and gain his freedom. It’s most likely that this version of the God of Mischief will return in Thor 4, but the big question is if he will be bad or good.

Having him be a villain once more might undermine all we saw of him in the last three films or so, but having him be a good guy would also feel out of the blue since this version never had a chance to reconcile with Thor. Until Thor 4 is out, the status of Loki will be the biggest question on our minds concerning the MCU’s future.
