The news comes courtesy of a Bridgetown gift box shared by Meghan O'Keefe on Twitter, which includes the first official confirmation that Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story arrives on Netflix in Spring 2023.

As indicated by the gift box above, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story will chronicle the titular monarch's rise to power and prominence. This mainly encompasses the story of the young Queen's marriage to a young King George (played by Corey Mylchreest). The union in the Bridgerton spinoff is not only a romantic story for the ages but one that also sparked a societal shift that shaped the competitive world of Regency-era London's Ton, which the Bridgerton family constantly grapples with in the original series.
India Amarteifio leads the cast of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story as the titular monarch alongside Arsema Thomas as a young Lady Danbury. While the prequel show's main focus will be chronicling these characters' younger years, it will also spend some time during the present day, with Bridgerton's Golda Rosheuvel and Adjoa Andoh both reprising their roles as Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury, respectively. Also returning from the original series is Ruth Gemmell as Violet (with Connie Jenkins-Greig playing a young Violet Ledger) and Hugh Sachs as Brimsley (with Sam Clemmett as young Brimsley.)
