Warning! Spoilers for Punisher #2 by Marvel Comics

The Punisher's new agreement with The Hand just gave the antihero his own powers, as he gains the dark abilities of The Beast. In Punisher #2 by Marvel Comics, Frank Castle has officially been named the Fist of the Beast, which comes with a set of powers that make him channel the demon's sin-seeing ways. With the abilities, the Punisher continues his dark evolution as the literal Beast within him starts to takeover.

In the current Marvel Comics series, the Punisher currently works alongside The Hand after the elusive ninja organization offered him his heart's biggest desire: to be with his wife again. After resurrecting his dead wife, Frank Castle agreed to join the organization, sporting a new logo as its new Fist of the Beast. Now, the Punisher has officially obtained the title, which comes with a dark new set of powers that hint that the deal he made with The Hand might be more costly than initially believed, as it could change the antihero forever.

In Punisher #2 by Jason Aaron, Jesus Saiz, Paul Azaceta, Dave Stewart, and VC's Cory Petit from Marvel Comics, the Archpriestess of The Hand begins Frank Castle's next step in becoming The Fist of the Beast. In a meeting with an Apostle of War where he's presented with a powerful piece of gamma-fueled technology, Punisher rejects the offer and tells him he can see through his mirage. The Beast begins to overtake the Punisher as his eyes become red and energy pulses around his body. His new powers make him tell the Apostle he can see his past and future sins.

After the Apostle tries to kill Punisher in a surprise attack, Castle takes him out. However, as he's dragged out, Punisher notes he can see there's a bomb inside his chest that was supposed to go off after his death. He asks the Archpriestess of the Hand how he could know that, and is told it's because the Beast's powers have manifested inside of him - including the Eyes of the Beast, one of the Five Gifts of the Fist. After the fight, the Punisher is officially named the Fist of the Beast.

Punisher gaining new powers as the Fist of the Beast means the hero is losing more of himself to serve the powerful demonic entity and The Hand. However, knowing the deal will keep his wife alive, he's willing to undergo whatever changes are necessary. With his powers manifesting in connection with the Beast, Frank Castle is heading down a dark path that he might not be able to escape from now that he's going deeper into his new role. Readers can see Castle's powers come to life in Punisher #2 by Marvel Comics, which is in comic book stores now.
