Fans of PlayerUnknown's BATTLEGROUNDS snow-covered level Vikendi can rejoice, because a new teaser trailer hints is hinting the map will be return by the end of April 2020. Unlike other popular battle royale gamesPUBG has been adding new maps for players to combat in periodically for free, first with the addition of the desert map Miramar and later with smaller locations like Sanhok and Karakin. None of these were perfect upon release, but poor fan reception of the snowy landscape of Vikendi caused the company to eventually pull the map completely, promising fans it would return when it had received more polish.

PUBG recently celebrated it's third anniversary as a fully-launched game, and players who logged in during the celebrations were awarded special PUBG anniversary outfits. Despite rumors of shoddy treatment by former PUBG Esports partners, on the surface it appears as if the company is dedicated to providing new, fresh experiences for players, and the pulling of Vikendi showed they aren't willing to settle for what they consider to be a sub-par product.

Thankfully, as the trailer which was recently posted to YouTube (and is embedded below) shows, it appears that extra layer of polish Vikendi needed might have already been applied. Titled Seven as a reference to the fact that the game's sixth season is coming to a close and the seventh's beginning is drawing closer, the video shows a slow zoom down a long hallway, getting closer and closer to a television screen which is jittery with static. As the camera gets closer, the words "horrible tragedy," "historic," and "dino land" can be heard. The screen then fades to a shot of the game's logo, and then the sound of an oncoming train hits. Check it out:

A horrible tragedy at the Dino Park which ends in historic destruction is pretty much the exact experience players had when landing in the Dino Park during Vikendi's initial run, and it will be interesting to see how the developers of PUBG managed to change up areas like the hedge maze and roller coaster (which should have been a working ride from the start). However, far more interesting is the introduction of trains to PUBG, which early playtesters have describes as being both fun and absolutely ridiculous. Other battle royale games such as Apex Legends have utilized trains moving across their maps to great effect, and it will be interesting to see what sort of shenanigans PUBG players will be able to get in to.

While not quite as informative as some players would like, this latest PUBG trailer gives hope that season seven of the game will be just as entertaining as the ones which came before. From the introduction of airplanes in PUBG, to these new trains, and to the boats and cars which have been there all along, the game is always trying to give players options and different ways to survive. Hopefully, it won't also be giving players literal dinosaurs to fight in PUBG, because that would just be too much, especially after all the April Fools' Day fantasy nonsense.
