Even though Psych the series on USA Network ended back in 2014, this cult favorite series is still going strong with films that fans are just as eager for as ever. The third Psych film, Psych 3: This Is Gus, will be released on the Peacock streaming service on November 18. While the previous film focused on Timothy Omundson's Carlton Lassiter, this film, as its title suggests, gives some long-overdue love to Dulé Hill's Burton Guster.

Even though the film's promotional plot explains the movie as focusing on the upcoming wedding between Gus and his fiancee Selene, fans still have many questions about what, exactly, the film will involve. How many of these questions are answered remains to be seen, but these are the most pressing issues that the movie needs to resolve.

What Will The Central Crime Be?

Psych wouldn't be the show it is without the crime-solving element. Although the series is as beloved as it is because of its core cast of characters and its signature brand of quirky, 80s-loving humor, the show wouldn't work if it weren't for Shawn and Gus partnering to solve the crimes in Santa Barbara, and later San Francisco.

There are many memorable criminals in Psych, too, which raises expectations even higher for whatever the central crime of the film will be. Will there be a murder to solve? Or another string of art thefts? And will the criminal or criminals be played by any familiar faces? Only time will tell.

What Other Characters Will Return?

Many previous recurring characters from Psych have appeared in the franchise's two films to date. 2017's Psych: The Movie includes the return of Juliet's brother Ewan O'Hara, a now-teenaged Iris Vick, and an otherworldly apparition of Mary Lightly. 2020's Psych 2: Lassie Come Home features Mary Lightly again, as well as the return of Marlowe Viccellio, Lassiter's wife.

Since Psych 3: This Is Gus will focus on the wedding of Burton Guster, it stands to reason that there could be many familiar faces who show up for the festivities. The trailer already includes an appearance by Curt Smith of Tears for Fears. Who else will appear that fans don't even know about yet?

Will Curt Smith Perform At Gus's Wedding?

As previously mentioned, Curt Smith, arguably Shawn and Gus's most famous friend, makes an appearance in the trailer for Psych 3. Gus is asking if he has learned how to perform Sisqo's "Thong Song," which Gus hopes that he will sing at his upcoming wedding. To this, Curt Smith simply hangs up and leaves Gus without a clear answer.

This, of course, leaves viewers to keep wondering whether Curt Smith will perform at the impending Guster wedding. Previously, he has performed at the home of Shawn's nemesis, Declan Rand, so it would only make sense for him to even the score by performing at Shawn's best friend's wedding.

Where Is Woody Now?

Although Woody was a later addition to the Psych universe, he is still one of the franchise's best and zaniest characters. Woody is known for some of Psych's hilarious quotes and for his tendency to overstep everyone's boundaries. In Psych 2: Lassie Come Home, Woody takes on an undercover mission, posing as the mysterious Dr. A.V. Catalon to help Shawn and Gus investigate a mystery.

But at the end of Psych 2, Woody's charade is found out, and he finds himself in precarious circumstances, fleeing the scene of his crime. Where is Woody now? Is he back working as a coroner? Or is he actually on the run? The trailer for This Is Gus only includes a glimpse of him communicating via FaceTime, so his location is a real mystery.

How Is Lassiter's Recovery Going?

Carlton Lassiter lays in his rehabilitation bed in Psych 2 Lassie Come Home

Psych 2: Lassie Come Home incorporates actor Timothy Omundson's real-life stroke and recovery, following Lassiter through his rehabilitation after being shot and suffering a stroke. At the end of the film, Lassiter has regained his strength enough to stand up and greet his wife, Marlowe, when she comes to take him home from the center.

Although it is clear that time has passed since the end of Psych 2, the question still remains as to how far Lassiter has come in his recovery overall. Is he still completing any therapies? The trailer for Psych 3 shows Lassiter holding a cane, which shows that his recovery is still in progress. But just how far along is he? And how does he feel about it all?

What Does Shawn And Juliet's Future Look Like?

Even though Shawn had many other love interests on Psych, Shawn and Juliet are the central romance that the show chronicled across its 8 seasons. But since these two got married on an impulse at the end of Psych: The Movie, their relationship hasn't really received much attention. There were brief suggestions of a future O'Hara-Spencer child in Psych 2, but what does the future really hold for them?

In the Psych 3 trailer, Juliet seems to be growing impatient with Shawn's childlike behavior, asking him point-blank just how old he thinks they are now. Will Shawn finally be forced to grow up and think about their future? Will they discuss having a child? Or will Juliet accept that Shawn is who he is and not press the matter further?

Who Is The Real Selene?

Jazmyn Simon in Psych 2 Lassie Come Home

It's one of the shocking revelations that changes the game for Gus and Selene's relationship: Selene is still married. But as the trailer for Psych 3 reveals, there's even more to this story. Her name isn't really Selene, and Shawn and Gus are determined to figure out the truth before the wedding and the baby arrive.

There are many routes this could take. Maybe Selene's ex is someone dangerous. Maybe Selene herself was involved in a crime. Whatever Psych comes up with as an explanation, there will likely be parts of the answer that are both dramatic and comedic.

How Will Lassiter Handle Returning To Work?

Carlton Lassiter stares at the camera in Psych

In Psych 2, Carlton Lassiter held conflicted feelings about returning to work as he recovered from an ambush attack on the job, which led to many poignant sequences in the film. He gets to have a truly triumphant and heroic moment at the end of the film, which reinvigorates him and returns him some of his signature confidence.

The trailer for Psych 3 shows a very different Lassiter than the previous film. Now decked out in a flashy three-piece suit and proudly proclaiming his return as Chief, Lassiter seems to be back on the job and as confident as ever. But how will he handle returning to work in full? Is he really ready? Or have any of his attitudes or beliefs changed?

Will Gus And Selene Actually Get Married?

Dule Hill and Jazmyn Simon look surpised in Psych The Movie.

Although there are many good and bad relationships in Psych, Burton Guster has never had any real success in the romance department. When he met Selene, everything was supposed to change. Even though she's a little on the intense side, Gus and Selene have been a good match, and are even expecting a child. But everything is still up in the air as to whether these two will make it down the aisle.

The logline for Psych 3 warns that Gus will be in total "Groomzilla" mode, highlighting just how anxious he is for everything to go right in their upcoming wedding. But will the wedding actually happen, after Selene's secrets are revealed? Or will it be Gus's anxiety and paranoia that could pose the biggest threats?

Will Baby Guster Be Introduced?

A key plot point in Psych 2 involves Shawn and Gus coming across a positive pregnancy test in Juliet's car, with the duo naturally assuming that Juliet was pregnant. As it turns out, Selene is the one who is pregnant, and therefore, Gus is soon going to become a father.

But just who will baby Guster be? Will the baby be male or female? What will they name baby Guster? Or could there even be more than one baby Guster on the way? There are so many questions about this little one, but one thing is for sure: Gus's reaction to the baby's birth will make the entire movie worth it.
