Thanks to a possible sighting at Walmart, fans might now know how much some of the PlayStation 5's SSD expansion units are going to cost when the system hits stores on November 12. Much discussion has already been made regarding the PS5's cutting-edge SSD over the past few months, as it is said to render graphics at a higher level than even modern gaming PCs.

Of course, some players will want to bolster their console's built-in SSD unit (which already measures at nearly 1 whole terabyte - though it might not actually use all of that storage for gaming) with an external one. While Sony still hasn't announced any official replacement add-ons, third-party peripheral makers are promising that fans will have plenty of options to beef up their already impressive PS5s. Now, it looks like the internet is getting a glimpse at one of these SSD offerings, and it's going to be available at a reasonable price.

Earlier this week, gaming newshound and PlayStation press list member Marlon Gaming Nation posted an image of a Walmart price sticker for a PlayStation 5 External SSD Drive on Twitter. This sticker describes the potential unit as costing $115 (without tax, of course) for an upgraded 500 gigabytes of memory. So far, it hasn't been confirmed if this is an official Sony-branded drive or one of the aforementioned third-party options.

With the PS5's November 12 launch date fast approaching, Sony is currently ramping up its efforts to promote their new console, as well as answering fan questions regarding such topics as how easy it will be for players to transfer game data from their PS4s or what streaming apps will be available on the PS5. Additionally, celebrities like Polish soccer star Robert Lewandowski and rapper Travis Scott have taken to promoting the PS5 in weeks leading up to its release, either by striking major marketing deals with Sony or simply posting a picture of themselves with their own pre-launch PS5 systems to social media.

The posted image's $115 price point seems like a fair deal for such impressive technology as the PlayStation 5's Solid State Drive storage unit, even as fans argue about whether or not the supposed drive's 500GB space is an adequate boost for the highly-demanding new console era. One thing is for certain though, it seems like players will indeed have some great choices for optimizing their PlayStation 5 consoles when they finally hit store shelves on November 12.
