Sony's PS5 reveal event which concluded yesterday, has managed to gather really commendable viewership figures. The event which was earlier slated to take place on the 4th June was postponed to the 11th of June in the wake of nationwide protests in the US owing to the extrajudicial killing of George Floyd.

The PS5 reveal event showcased a plethora of titles across various genres. Not only did the event showcase some of the anticipated first-party exclusives such as Horizon Zero Dawn: Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Spider-Man Miles Morales, but it also included a wide range of indie titles slated to release in the upcoming generation. Most notable of all was the console reveal itself, something which the community was looking forward to for quite a long time. Unlike the Xbox Series X, the PS5 will come in two versions: one with and one without a disc drive. The console has a pretty slim design, which is similar yet distinct in comparison to the previous PlayStation consoles. While fans raised some doubts with respect to the design such as whether the console can be kept horizontally, or if there will be a black version available, the overall reception to the design was quite positive.
