Some heartless person decided to put a PlayStation 5 through an industrial shredder, which is made even more painful by the console’s shortage in stores. The difficult quest of finding the newest console for sale has gone as far as relying on Twitch bots to monitor the stock of several retailers.
As reported last week, an inventive streamer developed a bot, which regularly checks the stock of such retailers as Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, NewEgg, and Walmart. The updated information is then delivered through the livestream, although most of the stores were out of stock last weekend. Some viewers claim that this solution actually helped them order and purchase a PS5 for themselves, although the task is not an easy one considering the competition between those patiently waiting for a restocked supply of consoles.
While PlayStation enthusiasts all over the world have to wait in digital queues to get an opportunity to order a PS5, one ruthless individual sentenced their newest console to a gruesome fate of being shredded in the industrial grinder. The video of this painful execution was originally posted on Reddit by u/cheeseinmya** for everyone to suffer from viewing it. The provocative act gets even worse when PS5’s global shortage is considered. It is worth noting that the industrial grinder does struggle a lot when trying to shred PS5 into pieces. The machine stops a few times not being able to process the console’s motherboard, although it could be just a safety mechanism. It does its job anyway, as the newest gaming device from Sony eventually turns into a pile of broken fragments. The video ends up with an optimistic offer, “PS5 for sale!”
why from MakeMeSuffer
Those few who manage to grab themselves PS5 consoles despite all the odds might encounter several issues with the newest gaming device. It appears that there’re two types of cooling fans used during manufacturing the console, and it’s completely random which one exactly ends up in a user’s device. The trick is that one fan is slightly louder than the other, as recently discovered by French journalists. While not a huge problem on its own, a louder fan negatively affects the whole situation with various issues PS5 is struggling with.
As much as the video of grinding PlayStation 5 into useless dust is painfully disturbing, it actually does a great job at pointing out how the global gaming community suffers from the console’s shortage in stores. This might be an unintentional outcome as the author was most likely just trying to mock poor PlayStation fans, but the video nonetheless raises awareness of Sony’s inability to supply the demand. It’s not like the hype was unexpected. Quite the contrary, Sony deliberately opened sales knowing that only a few lucky fans would get their consoles, which is a frustrating situation on its own.
