Lil Nas X will be featured in an upcoming episode of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder and his character will perform one of the rapper's biggest hits. Disney+ debuted its The Proud Family reboot earlier this year, providing the first new episodes of the animated family since 2005. The reboot has already been well received, and the streaming giant has already confirmed Louder and Prouder season 2 as of this week.

A new Disney+ video reveals Lil Nas X making his voice acting debut in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. The rapper will appear in the April 20 episode "Old Towne Road," aptly named after his hit track. Lil Nas X portrays June Bug, a country singer in a small town in Oklahoma who wears a straw hat and has a gold tooth. In the episode, The Prouds end up in Oklahoma after Trudy (Paula Jai Parker) is determined to track down Suga Mama's (Jo Marie Payton) roots. June Bug is performing with his country band in town when Bobby (Cedric The Entertainer) tries to join in. However, June Bug shows he's the only guitar player in town and the band begins performing Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road." Check out the sneak peek from the episode in the video below:

Lil Nas X is just one of many The Proud Family reboot's planned guest stars. The Grammy winner joins other musicians like Normani, Chance The Rapper, and Lizzo in voicing a character in the animated series. Additionally, other major stars like Tiffany Haddish and Leslie Odom Jr. are in the Louder and Prouder lineup. The nostalgia factor of the Disney+ series, paired with these A-list cameos, is a major reason behind The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder'initial success, and may very well carry it through to season 3.
