There are many difficult fights throughout Warframe. Players will have to be smart and talented in order to complete missions in the game and take out these difficult enemies. In order to get better at the game players will need to unlock stronger weapons and better warframes for their character in the game. Some of the most difficult fights in the game will also give players access to these better items as well.

One of the most difficult fights in the game Protea Specter also gives players access to an extremely powerful warframe with the same name. This fight will cause players a lot of trouble, especially because there is only one weapon in the game that can even damage the boss at all. This weapon will need to be crafted first and then players will have to stay on their toes if they want to bring Protea Specter. This guide shows players how to bring the boss down.

Warframe: How to Get the Xoris Weapon

The only weapon in Warframe that can do any damage at all to Protea Spector is the Xoris, which can only be obtained by completing a specific mission and then crafting it. While working through The Deadlock Protocol series of events, players will eventually be given the prototype for the Xoris and told to craft it before going to fight against Protea Spector. Players will need a few different materials in order to put the Xoris together.

Players will be able to find all three parts for the Xoris during the fourth mission of the Deadlock Protocol. This is a spy mission where players will need to be stealthy and hack into three separate vaults to get the parts. Once each of these vaults has been successfully hacked, players will be able to return to their home base and craft their brand new Xoris. The Xoris is a glaive weapon that has very high slash damage as well as a pretty high critical hit chance. The Xoris can also be thrown at enemies to bounce around before returning to the player's hand. Now players will have to use it on Protea Spector.

Warframe: How to Beat Protea Spector

Warframe Protea Spector

Once players have built their new Xoris they can equip it and rush on over to the Protea Spector fight. There are two phases to this fight, but players should know that will only actually fact Protea Spector during the second phase. The first phase is against a large mob of enemies that will need to be taken down before moving on to the main event.

Phase 1: This phase has the player facing off against a large number of enemies that can very easily overwhelm the player. The only real way to make it through this fight is to charge up the Xoris and throw it at enemies since it can hit several enemies at a time. This means that players will need to kill several enemies to charge up the Xoris. Once it is fully charged, players can use the secondary fire button to throw it. The weapon will bounce of two or three enemies and hopefully take them out of the fight. Players will need to kill three enemies with the charge attack in order for Protea Spector to spawn.

Phase 2: Once Protea Spector spawns, this fight will become infinitely more difficult. The boss sports four completely full health bars and each one has a shield that must be destroyed first in order to do damage. The only way to do any damage at all to Protea Spector is to use the secondary attack of Xoris. This means that players will need to kill enemies around them to charge it up and then throw Xoris at it as quickly as possible. What makes this fight difficult though is that if players aren't fast enough, Protea Spector will actually regenerate health. On top of that, every time the boss loses a health bar it will spawn clones of itself that players will have to fight as well. Players will just have to keep charging the Xoris and throwing it to bring Protea Spector down, and once they do they will be given an all-new warframe.
