For five seasons, the HGTV spinoff series Property Brothers: Forever Home has put a new spin on home renovations. Identical twin brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott have built a multimedia empire and have become HGTV superstars since 2011. With multiple spinoff shows such as Celebrity IOU, Brother Vs. Brother, A Very Brady Renovation, along with apps, magazines, and a podcast, the twins have dominated the home improvement genre on TV. However, Property Brothers: Forever Home brings a new and exciting twist as the Scott brothers help families tackle challenges when it comes to getting the home of their dreams.

The Forever Home spinoff follows Drew and Jonathan as they help couples transform their uninspiring house by unlocking its full potential and renovating it into their dream home. The clients already know that their house is "the one," but they need Jonathan and Drew to come in and smooth out the edges of their "diamond in the rough" - and giving it that special touch to make it their forever home. During each episode, Drew takes the clients on a tour of nearby homes to learn which features they want and which features they can't live without. Jonathan is in charge as the general contractor, but Drew gets more involved than usual with the demo, renovation, and design aspects. Jonathan then presents two versions of their future renovated home using 3D graphics, and the homeowners choose which version they like the most. But, they must chose wisely, because they are not allowed on the premises until it's time for the big reveal of the house.

Unlike their primary show Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan are not looking to flip a home for profit on the Forever Home series. As a result, the real estate component of the show is removed, which makes the spinoff very different from what we typically see on HGTV. Shows like Flip or Flop and Fixer Upper focus on renovations that strive to turn a house more profitable whenever it goes up for sale. However, the families featured on Forever Home want to stay right where they live, but want to make certain improvements. As such, Jonathan and Drew can give families the home of their dreams without them having to move.

Along with the satisfaction of seeing a home undergo a mega transformation, the fans may also shed a tear or two while watching Property Brothers: Forever Home. On the other shows within the Property Brothers franchise, the fans can't truly get to know the homeowners who are featured. On Forever Home, however, the fans can connect to the homeowners on a more emotional level and learn their backstory. For instance, the viewers are able to learn why they want to stay in the home, what makes them attached to it, and what future they foresee in it after these renovations.

Jonathan and Drew have multiple successful spinoff series, but they decided to listen to their fans when creating the Forever Home spinoff. During an interview with Parade, Jonathan revealed how the twins had received an influx of messages on social media from fans saying what they love and what they would like to see. "One of the biggest things we always got was, well, Property Brothers is for people who are buying a house or selling a house. What about the rest of us, who have a home we love, but it's just not perfect?" the fans asked. Drew and Scott clearly listened, and Property Brothers: Forever Home has remained widely successful since it premiered on TV.
