The Promised Neverland may get its mainstream break as Amazon announces it's working on a live-action, English-language TV show based on the manga and anime series. The manga, written by Kaiu Shirai and illustrated by Posuka Demizu, was first released in 2016 and became a massive success. Over 20 million copies of the manga have been sold since its release. While the comics are coming to an end, the series lives on through the anime and perhaps a new live-action series.
