Chris March

Project Runway season 4's Chris March, in the words of one Reddit user, "took the cake" as the most unfair elimination since he was "eliminated twice under questionable circumstances."

The Redditor went on to note how "his menswear that was properly constructed and on-trend was eliminated over people who had pants held together by hot glue and a dream. Then, he got eliminated the second time for using hair extensions in his final collection because the judges were grossed out. ... So Chris March was eliminated twice in one season for showing off excellent construction skills and knowledge of industry trends. Impressive."

Kenley Collins

Kenley Collins first impressed fans back on season 5 before going on to appear on the first all-stars season, a season that has gone down in the Project Runway canon as unfairly giving Kenley the boot. One Reddit user described Kenley's elimination as giving off the vibe of "very 'okay, you've worn out your welcome.'"

Reddit user kicked off a conversation with hopes of acknowledging the unfair elimination of McKell Maddox from Project Runway season 8. They asked, "Is Mckell of season 8 the most WTF elimination ever? They had two people who literally didn't even finish an outfit and then McKell is sent home due to poor styling? They didn't even seem to talk that poorly of her outfit. I remember Heidi saying 'Mckell, you're out' and my jaw dropping to the floor."

Another user agreed, throwing out other options as to who should have taken her place: "I actually think Casanova should've been eliminated over McKell. Jason's was stapled but at least looked good IMO. Even Ivy should've been eliminated over McKell. A lot of people should have."

Korina Emmerich

Korina Emmerich may not have been liked by every Project Runway fan, but the events that transpired leading up to her elimination were also disliked by viewers.

One Reddit user disclosed an unpopular opinion, stating, "For S13, I think that Korina was treated pretty unfairly. Especially with that twist between her and Char. If they hadn't have done that, Char would have been cut." Another user replied in agreement, "It seemed designed to exploit Korina's insecurities and temperament in the name of drama. She wasn't perfect by far but the production was really cruel to her."

Austin Scarlett

The Project Runway game has changed a lot since its early seasons. One thing that's stayed the same, however, is fans' opinion that Austin Scarlet's elimination wasn't right. One Reddit user said, "I'll always be annoyed Austin Scarlett didn't make it to fashion week. Just rewatched season one so the wound is fresh."

Another Reddit user argued, "I always thought Austin Scarlett shouldn’t have been eliminated right before the finale. In that first season, it was all about the one challenge and they didn’t even consider previous work like they do now. He was far superior and should have been in the finale."

Wendy Pepper

Like many beloved designers, Wendy Pepper returned to Project Runway to compete as an all-star. However, she didn't make it as far as she did during season 1, instead getting eliminated after the second challenge. This outraged the show's fans, many of whom echoed a Reddit user's claim that "Wendy's All Stars elimination was absolutely BS."

Another user commented, "I did not understand what the judges disliked about her so much, but they REALLY did not like her or her work [on All Stars]. And I thought she was being routinely slept on."

Uli Herzner

Uli Herzner might not have been eliminated from season 3 or All Stars 2, but the fact that she didn't win either had some Reddit users acting as though she was sent home. One Reddit user commented, "Even Uli, the darling of both of her seasons was snubbed at the end both times."

Another Redditor added, "To me, the worst judging decision ever was Uli not winning AS2. Even Anthony Ryan thought she deserved it." He even sorta admitted that in post-show interviews."

Irina is not only the winner of season 6, she is also considered one of the best Project Runway contestants with the most impressive sewing skills. Another user commented, "Irina was slept on during both her All Stars seasons. She’s one of my absolute favorite designers on the show," with another Redditor agreeing, writing, "I'll never accept how Irina's elimination in AS3. She is definitely one of the top designers to ever be on the show."
