Fox's Prison Break is a must-watch crime drama that has gathered a cult following over its five seasons. The main attraction to the show is Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller), a guy who can break out of any prison. The action thriller has evolved over the years, turning Scofield into a full-blown activist who opposes the injustices of the establishment.

As the story evolved, the characters evolved, as well, through countless plot twists, most of which made the show more interesting. After the mind-settling ending of the fifth season, it is obvious that the sixth season will unleash a mind-blowing plot twist. However, these ones from the previous five seasons still raise more questions than answers.

Paul Kellerman Elected As A Congressman

Paul Kellerman, the cold-hearted secret service agent, committed most of the murders in the first season. His only absolution was showing up to testify when Sara Tancredi was about to go to prison for aiding Scofield's prison break. While it may be argued that most of his actions were ordered by the vice president, the crimes were hideous, and he was directly responsible.

The least Kellerman could get, even from the most lenient judge, would be life in prison. However, at the end of the second season, Kellerman was voted in as congressman, just days after he became the most high profile company employee and puppet of a corrupt president ever to appear in a court of law.

Breaking Whistler Out Of Prison

The third season of the show was introduced perfectly before the end of the second season, as the characters coincidentally converged in Panama. According to the General, whatever was in SONA, which was later revealed as James Whistler, was more important than all the activities of the company in the US.

However, throughout the third season, all Whistler has in relation to the company is a bird book that has blueprints to the headquarters of The Company and the neighboring building. It is unclear why the cabal of the free world would risk everything for blueprints of a building it already owns.

Sara's Silence After Escaping From Panama

Sara Tancredi and Michael Scofield in the infirmary on Prison Break

Sara Tancredi fell in love with Scofield in prison and her life changed forever. When she was kidnapped and imprisoned by Susan in Panama, she managed to escape with the help of a guard. Susan cut off the head of the guard and used it to threaten Lincoln Burrows, who somehow assumed it was Sara's head.

Now, even if Sara was that scared, would she just walk away leaving a 16-year-old boy in the hands of a psychopath? Why didn't she at least employ the help of Bruce to help Lincoln, who was already exonerated to free LJ? The other improbability is how she simply left Michael for dead in Panama, considering he was in prison for a murder she had committed.

Sara Arrested For Murder

Scylla was one of the least appreciated plot twists in the entire show, although the thrilling action of the fourth season absolved it. However, when the season ended, it was revealed that Scylla was both an important tool for global development and also the company's black box. If it contained the names of all high profile company operatives, then Christina Rose was in it, right?

If she weren't, the absolution of Scofield and Burrows for the assassination of the Indian ambassador would mean that the government knew that Christina organized the attack. If that was the case, how would the government drop all charges on all the people involved in the hunt for Scylla and then still nail Sara for killing the worst domestic terrorist of the century?

Handing Scylla To The U.N.

The entire fourth season was based on the fact that the DHS and the FBI were both infiltrated by the company. However, the exoneration of Scofield and his crew would have to be approved by the DOJ, an application that was made by the now congressman Paul Kellerman.

It is, however, impossible for the DOJ to exonerate nearly a dozen criminals for collecting a precious file from a cabal for the UN. Besides, what made the UN safer than all tools of justice in the U.S.? Why didn't they give it to Cooper, the former deputy attorney general that helped them with Carol Reynolds?

T-Bag Released From Prison

Theodore Bagwell, played by Robert Knepper, was in prison for life without parole for rape and murder. When he escaped from prison, he added 10 years to his sentence. While on the run after escaping from prison, T-Bag killed a couple of people, including the doctor that sewed his hand back on after it was axed by John Abruzzi.

He also kidnapped a family, plus there were other crimes that he committed while working for the general. When his exoneration was denied by Scofield, his life was definitely over. However, seven years later, we see old T-Bag walking out of prison to get his prosthetic hand. At worst, he should be in court fighting against extradition to Panama.

Michael Scofield Erased From All Records

The fifth season of the show was based on the fact that Poseidon totally erased Michael Scofield from every known record. It is revealed that the Michael Scofield everyone knew was now the terrorist, Kaniel Outis.

Now, this is a very difficult record to wipe, considering the storm that Scofield caused with his three prison breaks and long life on the run. He was someone whose photo was on every TV and radio channel, in every newspaper and on every website, so he was definitely a celebrity. Surely, this would require some superpowers to erase because you would have to reformat everyone's brain, while you were at it.

T-Bag Bagwell's Son

Augustus Prew made quite an entry in the fifth season as David Martin or Whip, later revealed to be T-Bag's son. But, back, after his escape from Fox River, T-Bag hunted down Susan Hollander and kidnapped her and her children.

He later revealed that he wanted to make them his family because he could not reproduce and he was the last of the Bagwells. With all this in mind, it is hard to understand how Whip was born.

Poseidon's Invincibility

Poseidon, Jacob Anton Ness, played by Mark Feuerstein, is the rogue CIA agent so good at covering his tracks, "you couldn't find him with a nuclear submarine."  That is the introduction given to the villain of the fifth season, who proved to the smartest man Scofield has ever had to maneuver.

However, this is just one man controlling two goons. How can such a small team prove impossible for the entire CIA to uncover, leave alone imprison Scofield, the smartest man in the world, for seven years? Besides, how did he remain anonymous and still request the CIA airstrike on a cargo ship?

Scofield's 7-Year Silence

Prison Break is the story of two brothers who will do anything for one another, and so far, Michael Scofield has been doing most of the saving. Scofield's love for his brother caused him to abandon his career as a structural engineer to become a career criminal and he later even "died" so they could be free.

However, the fifth season introduces a seven-year time jump, during which Scofield has abandoned his son, his brother, and his nephew and even left his wife in the hands of the most dangerous man in the world. Even if Jacob managed to dump all his messages to Sara for seven years, surely there was another way of reaching out.
