The Princess Switch: Switched Again cast is led by Vanessa Hudgens, but there are plenty of familiar faces in the sequel. The holiday-themed Netflix movie picks up after the events of the 2018 film The Princess Switch, in which an American woman from Chicago trades places with a European Duchess.

Directed by Mike Rohl, The Princess Switch: Switched Again follows Princess Stacy DeNovo and her doppelgänger Lady Margaret, who will soon become the Queen of Montenaro. Whereas the first Netflix movie's switcheroo plot explains how Stacy becomes part of the Royal Family, the sequel's switcheroo narrative focuses on Stacy's attempts to re-ignite the romance between her long-time friend Kevin and Lady Margaret. However, the plan becomes especially complicated when the Queen-to-be's sassy first cousin, Sofia (another Stacy doppelgänger), plots against the main protagonists.
