The Princess Bride is finally coming to the Disney+ streaming service on May 1. The Princess Bride  is an adventure fantasy comedy that was adapted from a book by William Goldman. The film was first released in 1987 and has received wide critical acclaim since. It's probably also one of the most quotable films ever made and remains iconic today. In fact, the movie is so beloved there have been murmurs of a Princess Bride sequel or reboot over the years, although nothing concrete has been in the works. Of course, many would argue this is one movie that absolutely needs no sequel or reboot; it's perfect just the way it is.

Earlier today, the Disney+ Twitter account posted a video of the main stars of The Princess Bride, Cary Elwes and Robin Wright, having a light-hearted, video chat conversation. The text "We interrupt this important video call for a special announcement" appears. This is when Cary reveals The Princess Bride will start streaming on Disney+ on May 1. The video then shows a short snippet from the original movie. The video closes with Robin and Cary joking around again.
