Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a double date with Jennifer Lopez and A-Rod while in Miami. The power couples took over the night as they enjoyed one another’s company.
It was revealed on January 8th that Prince Harry and Duchess Markle would be stepping back from the senior royal duties and the public eye to try and live a more normal life. To make sure the situation did not get out of hand the Queen and her extended family then held an emergency meeting and Queen Elizabeth II finalized Prince Harry’s financial dealings with her youngest grandson, which included the couple paying back the loan they took for their Windsor house. Even though Meghan Markle has been getting the brunt of the disapproval regarding their stepping down, Prince Harry has stood by her side, embracing his new life outside of Palace walls. After the New Year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex decided that it would be best for them to split their time between the United Kingdom and North America.
The royal couple recently made their first public appearance since stepping down at the JP Morgan summit that took place in Miami’s South Beach. The couple were keynote speakers at the occasion and shared the stage together. According to ET, Prince Harry and Markle met up with recent Super Bowl Halftime Show performer, Lopez and her husband, Alex Rodriguez.
Both the singer an MLB player was attending the summit as guests and were privileged to be able to spend some quality time with the royal couple. While participating in the activities that took place on Thursday, February 6th, the group of four were able to reconnect and form a friendship. According to the source, the couples shared all the updates on the major events going on in their lives as well as how their children were doing. The couple reportedly met up for dinner and talked about hanging out again in the near future in a possibly less formal atmosphere.
Their surprise appearance shocked the crowd with only Prince Harry speaking to the distinguished guests. Markle stood by silently and there has been no report regarding how much the couple was paid. Since running from the spotlight, the couple has been spending most of their time in North Saanich, Canada which is a small and secluded community with their son Archie. The Canadian town was said to have banded together to protect the royal couple from the media as well.
