Star of Keeping Up With the Kardashians Kylie Jenner will no longer be attending the Met Gala. The 24-year-old beauty mogul recently announced she's pregnant with her second child in a touching video shared on social media. The intimate glimpse into the early stages of her pregnancy with rapper Travis Scott began with Kylie holding a pregnancy test and asking her daughter, Stormi Webster, if she's ready to go see the doctor. As the video continued, followers got to see the moment Stormi broke the news to momager Kris Jenner, who proclaimed it was "one of the happiest days of my life." Now that the world is aware the famous parents are expecting again, Kylie is reportedly "relieved and excited" to share her journey with her fans.

Though Kylie's pregnancy announcement was heartwarming and completely on-brand, her original plan was to surprise the world by debuting her baby bump at the 2021 Met Gala. Unfortunately, the surprise didn't work out as planned due to previously scheduled public appearances throughout New York Fashion Week. Kylie showcased her growing bump when she visited the Revolve Gallery in a bright orange trench coat, oversized low-rise jeans, and a tie top that left her stomach out in the open. Kylie also made an appearance at the LaQuan Smith show.

Shortly after her return to LA from a week of fashion in New York, Kylie confirmed she wouldn't be attending the 2021 Met Gala after all. "I'm so sad I couldn't make it this year," she wrote on an Instagram story. "I can't wait to see all the looks." An insider told E! News that Kylie's change of heart was last minute because she was overwhelmed and "just doesn't feel great" after being out and about all weekend. The source added that the reality TV mama has been conflicted about attending the annual fashion event, but ultimately was fearful of pushing herself too hard. "Kylie is focused on her pregnancy right now and just wants to take it easy."

While Kylie won't be in attendance, the annual Met Gala is no stranger to the reality star's big statements. For example, she made her first red carpet appearance alongside Travis Scott during 2018's Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination-themed Met Gala. Though there's no update on if Travis will be making an appearance, the source noted, "Kylie is so happy to have Travis by her side during everything."

Now that Kylie has announced she won't be attending this year's Met Gala, the question still stands if Travis will be walking the carpet solo. Additionally, Keeping Up With the Kardashians fans are also curious how the rest of her sisters will appear. Will Kim Kardashian still stand alongside Kanye West despite their divorce? Will Kourtney Kardashian level up her and Travis Barker's VMA red carpet appearance at the Met Gala? Will Khloé Kardashian show up with Tristan Thompson despite their split? All in all, while it's disappointing Kylie won't be making yet another standout statement at this year's Met Gala, the anticipation still stands high for the rest of the Kardashian clan.
