Just when you thought it was safe to wander through the show floor at Comic-Con 2018, a lethal predator arrives on the scene. And not just any predator, but the Predator, who has his own Hot Toys Sideshow Collectibles figure ahead of the release of Shane Black's The Predator, which arrives in theaters this fall.

The first entry in the series since 2010's Predators, Black's film is specifically a sequel rather than a reboot, and stars an ensemble cast that includes young rising star Jacon Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key (of Key & Peele), Moonlight's Trevante Rhodes and Boyd Holbrook, who played the villainous cyborg Donald Pierce in last year's Logan. The Predator will be featured during Fox's Comic-Con preview in Hall H this year, so we're likely to get treated to another trailer.

Screen Rant's Rob Keyes is currently on the show floor at Comic-Con (before it opens for an exclusive media preview), checking out the brand new figures for recent and upcoming movies from our friends at Sideshow Collectibles, and had the opportunity to debut the first look at The Predator movie figure hanging out with John Wick (from Chapter 2, all his cool weapons included!) at the Sideshow booth (now that's a crossover movie we'd like to see):

Also note the the first ever look at one of The Predator's new weapons!

There will reportedly be multiple versions of the Predator in the movie, with three classic versions and one giant Predator that is apparently 10 foot tall. Apparently there will be at least two new variations on the design, as a result of the Predators splicing their genes with those of other species. Does that mean we'll see a Predator spliced with Arnold Schwarzenegger's DNA? We can only hope.

Sideshow Collectibles isn't the only toy company cashing in on The Predator; Funko have made a toy version of the redesigned Hell-Hounds that will be featured in the movie, along with other creatures that are being kept a secret for now. Between all these monsters and the multiple Predators running around, the patchwork group of soldiers and civilians who make up the movie's cast of characters are going to be hard-pressed to survive to the end credits.

Here's the official synopsis for The Predator:

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
