The intergalactic race of Sci-Fi alien hunters known as Predators, or Yautja, have made a number of appearances throughout their ongoing franchise, yet despite their renowned hunting ability across the cosmos, they seem to die quite a bit whenever they go up against human adversaries–though while previous would-be Predator victims have killed their fair share of Yautja, Predator’s newest hero, Theta, has killed more of them than every movie hero combined.

The Predator race made its first appearance in 1987’s Predator, and while it killed plenty of humans, the extraterrestrial antagonist was killed by Dutch by the end of the film (or, rather, put in a position where it was forced to kill itself). The next Predator appearance came in the 1997 sequel film Predator 2 where another Predator was killed by protagonist Harrigan. Next was the 2010 film Predators, which was a film that stood out from the rest of the franchise as it was the first to not take place on Earth. A group of humans is brought to Predator hunting grounds to be the Yautjas’ prey, though the tables were quickly turned when the humans fought back and killed a total of three Predators (a fourth did die as well, but it was helping the humans and was killed by another Predator). In the 2018 film The Predator, the ‘fugitive Predator’ is murdered by the Ultimate Predator, before the Ultimate Predator itself is killed by that film’s protagonist, McKenna. Finally, in the 2022 prequel film, Prey, one Predator is killed by Naru after an intense game of cat-and-mouse.

In Predator #3 by Ed Brisson and Kev Walker, Theta finds herself on the snowy world of Tusket where she is fighting for her life against an unexpected Predator attack. Theta is a human as well as an intergalactic hunter much like the Yautja, except Theta's targets are the Predators themselves. When Theta was a little girl, she witnessed her entire colony–including family and friends–murdered by a Predator. Since that fateful day, Theta has committed her life to hunting Predators wherever they hunt, and kill them–with the end goal of finding the very Predator who killed her loved ones. While the previous three issues have made it clear that Theta is proficient in Predator hunting, readers are told explicitly in this issue exactly how proficient she really is with an exact Predator kill-count.

Theta is the Ultimate Predator Killer with 23 Confirmed Kills

Most Predators killed by a single human revealed.

After calculating all the Predators who were killed by the humans they were hunting across the five films in the franchise, the total comes to seven. The first movie had one kill, the second also had one, the third had three (again, not counting the human-helping Yautja), the fourth had one (also not counting the Predator killed by another Predator), and the fifth had an additional one kill. Theta, as is revealed in this issue, has killed twenty-three Predators so far in her career and will assuredly kill more as the series progresses. Even if the Alien vs Predator films were to be counted as well–with the first one having no Predators die by the hands of a human and the second, Alien vs Predator: Requiem, having only one Predator death as a result of a nuclear explosion (not counting the two other Predators killed by the Predalien)–that only adds one more death to the overall count, which is insignificant in comparison to Theta’s standing record.

Theta is easily the greatest Predator-killer to have ever existed in the franchise. While all other Predator heroes are lucky if they can kill one Yautja per chance encounter, Theta actively hunts them down and has murdered nearly two dozen of them. As anyone can see, the numbers don’t lie–and by a huge margin, Predator’s Theta has killed more Yautja than every movie hero combined.
