Supergirl's Earth-Two counterpart, Power Girl, is known for her incredible strength and eye-catching costume, and in a new cosplay from @airpotatocosplay, the hero gets an updated look that offers a modern take on the character. The cosplay from the talented cosplayer brings the DC Comics hero to life in a costume and a new haircut that fits the character well.

Kara Zor-L is the alternate version of Supergirl from Earth-Two, who first appeared in All Star Comics #58 by Gerry Conway, Richards Estrada, and Wally Wood. The character is often presented as a more mature version of her Prime Earth counterpart, as she's an important leader among the Justice Society of America. The hero has a similar origin and power set as Supergirl but rocks an entirely different look. In addition, Power Girl has a much more revealing costume than Kara Danvers, as the character's chest window on her costume has become a notable topic in discussions about the over-sexualization of superheroes. DC Comics even tried to justify why Power Girl sports a "boob window" in a hilariously misguided attempt to explain the obvious by Geoff Johns.

On her Instagram account, @airpotatocosplay shared her take on Power Girl, offering a modern, comic-accurate take on the hero. The cosplay brings the Power Girl to life and showcases the powerful Justice Society of America member. The DC Comics ensemble features Power Girl's jumpsuit-like costume, a short red cape, a belt, and blue gloves. Additionally, the cosplayers look features a new hairstyle for Kara Zor-L, as she sports a haircut that's short on the sides and long on the top - somewhat similar to Captain Marvel's iconic hairstyle. Power Girl's costume and hairstyle look great as she flexes in the pose.

Power Girl is one of the best alternate reality versions of a main DC Comics hero, partly because she's so different from Super Girl. While the characters share similar names, origins, and powers, Power Girl's different costume, personality, and storylines set her apart. She never has felt like a knockoff hero and has established herself as a significant player in the DC Universe, making her interactions with Superman and Super Girl that much more fun.

The DC Comics cosplay feels true to the character but offers just enough of a modern update where the costume and hairstyle feel fresh at the same time. @airpotatocosplay did a great job bringing Power Girl hero to life.
