In honor of the 30th Anniversary of the Power Rangers franchise, BOOM! Studios goes deeper into the Morphin Grid to bring the HyperForce team to the BOOM! Rangerverse. Power Rangers: Hyperforce initially grew its popularity from a 2017 tabletop role-playing game web series, produced by Saban. The events of the RPG take place within the main canon timeline, but also eventually crossover into the comics' Shattered Grid storyline, often featuring voice work and appearances from beloved actors - including former Rangers - from the franchise.

The Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce #1 one-shot - arriving July 19, 2023 - brings together the team of prolific Power Rangers storyteller Melissa Flores (Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, Radiant Pink) and acclaimed writer, media personality, and the voice of the HyperForce Pink Ranger in the HyperForce RPG, Meghan Camarena (Radiant Pink, Radiant Black), along with artist Federico Sabbatini (Moon Knight, The Dead Lucky) and colorist Bryan Valenza (Witchblade, Ghost Rider). The Power Rangers Unlimited: HyperForce one-shot will be the first full-length story dedicated to the HyperForce Rangers since the first season of the TTRPG web series. Below, readers can find standard cover art from Kayla Valerio (Power Rangers Unlimited: The Death Ranger), with variants from fan-favorite artists Goñi Montes and InHyuk Lee.

The comic follows the HyperForce team as they scour the multiverse for allies after Mistress Vile (formerly known as Rita Repulsa) and Dark Specter invade the Morphin Grid. As the villains' dark contagion spreads, the HyperForce Rangers will be pushed to their limits.

HYPERFOOORCE! It's nearly impossible to put into words how excited I am to be revisiting the special group of chaotic misfits that is the HyperForce team with Meghan, Federico and BOOM! Studios,” said Flores as the longtime executive of the Power Rangers brand expressed her excitement for this new project. “I've never forgotten the incredible amount of love the TTRPG series received from the fans, and I'm so thankful to be able to pay back just a little bit of that with a new adventure for them in this medium.

Flores and Camarena also co-write the Massive-Verse series Radiant Pink for Image Comics. In addition voicing the HyperForce Pink Ranger in the TTRPG, Camarena also starred as the 25th Anniversary Pink Power Ranger in the Battle for the Grid video game. “Together, we’re telling the HyperForce tale right where it left off and you’re never going to guess where it takes us," Camarena said. "Thank you to the fans for always believing in these characters and waiting for us to finish the story. It’s meant so much to me to bring Chloe back to life and I can hardly wait for you to read what she’s been up to!

Working on Power Rangers is a dream come true! I've been a huge fan of the series since when I was a child and I wish I could tell the Federico of twenty years ago that this day was going to come,” said Sabbatini. Editor Allyson Gronowitz added that she's excited to bring together different Power Rangers from across time and space, as well as different media. “With HyperForce, I’m especially excited to spotlight a Rangers team that has as much wit and personality as their creators — who just so happen to be the enthusiastic writing duo on this monumental one-shot as well.”
