Warning: Spoilers for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #103Kimberly Hart seems to be one step away from going bad... and for the rest of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, that is very bad news. Of course, those who have read earlier issues of the BOOM! Studios run of comics know that if this is the path that Kimberly is on course to take, it wouldn't be the first time she's been evil.

In a universe where an evil Tommy (rebranding himself as Lord Drakkon) takes over the world, his right-hand woman is Kimberly as the Ranger Slayer. Granted, it's worth noting that Kimberly was mind controlled at the time and upon Drakkon's influence being broken, she's right back on the path of good. However, this time, Kimberly may be on the path to breaking bad all on her own without any mind control present. It all started when her boyfriend, Green Ranger Matthew, gets captured. She and the Rangers struggle to balance making a plan to save him with trying to maintain the safety of Angel Grove from other monsters.

Kimberly Breaks The Power Rangers' Code of Honor

Tommy and Kimberly argue in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #103

With so much pressure on her shoulders, Kimberly is seen in Melissa Flores and Simona Di Gianfelice's Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers #103 at her breaking point during an encounter with a monster. In hopes of ending things sooner rather than later to focus on Matthew, she breaks Zordon's rule by escalating the battle, blowing a monster to bits in a battle near civilians. In a heated exchange with Tommy, Kimberly expresses zero remorse as she makes it clear that she is ready to rescue her partner by any means necessary, even at the cost of her morals and honor.

Although there is no guarantee that the Pink Ranger's current path will outright lead to her becoming evil again, it most certainly is a dark path that strays away from the path of righteousness that Zordon trained the Rangers to follow. It is evident that Kimberly is willing to do whatever it takes to retrieve her partner back, even if it means sacrificing everything she's believed in and trained for. She's already verbally fighting with her teammates and if they get in her way any further, it's likely that she will be fighting them off physically next.

Either way, it spells danger for the Rangers as this couldn't have come at a worse time. Kimberly recently has realized the full extent of her power as the Pink Ranger and anyone - regardless of hero or villain allegiances who gets in her way in her search for Matt, no one is safe or prepared for her. The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers have their work cut out for themselves in these ongoing issues if they want to save Matthew from danger and save Kimberly from being a danger to herself.
