While the American version stayed true to its Japanese villains and main characters, it added more persona that made them so memorable for fans. Some even had a crush on the Red Ranger (Danny Slavin) and feared Scorpius (Kim Strauss), a heinous and vile evil creature. Some Power Rangers were more fan favorites than others and many of the villains didn't sit well with the audience.

Trakeena

Trakeena and her alien form played by Amy Miller

Trakeen (Amy Miller) was just as evil and treacherous as her father Scorpius. By the end of the show becomes even more so and a memorable enemy. Trakeena was beautiful but followed in her father's footsteps seeking power and wreaking havoc for the Rangers.

She had her own evil schemes like sending a monster to steal the beauty of all women on Terra Venture. At the end of the show, she becomes the main villain and indestructible using her father's cacoon. Fans can recall her new insect form that almost killed Leo. She manages to survive and even returns in Lightspeed Rescue seeking revenge.

Scorpius

Main villain, Scorpius voiced by Kim Strauss

Every new series of Power Rangers need to have two main elements. The good guys and the bad guys. In Lost Galaxy, the title for the evil enemy that wanted to destroy the Rangers and the world was Scorpius. Unlike other villains in the past, Scorpius often didn't physically carry out his plans. This was because he was an alien insectoid warlord.

Scorpius was hungry for power and destroyed anyone in his path. His mission to obtain powerful objects leads him on the quest for the Quasar Sabers and Lights of Orion which ends up with the creation of the Power Rangers. Like all villains, he sought to destroy them and take their powers.

Furio

Scorpius's army general, Furio

Compared to Trakeena, Furio (Tom Wyner) is only a level lower on the evil scale. He was a trusty minion and ally to Scorpius and the general of his army. Furio was responsible for destroying the planet of Mirinoi and all its people turning them to stone. He sought Scorpius's approval for his efforts.

He too would go on a ravenous hunt to find the Light of Orion to gain its power and appease his leader. His main enemy was the Red Ranger and in an attempt to defeat him, Furio commits suicide by exploding. All while engaging in a fight with the Red Ranger. His role was then replaced by Deviot (Bob Papenbrook).

It's not unusual in Power Rangers series to switch up the main characters. A passing of the baton is an acceptable term. In Mighty Morphin, the Pink Ranger was switched out, and the Blue Ranger in Turbo. Lost Galaxy was one of the rare few that made a switch well into the show.

Kendrix (Valerie Vernon) was the first Pink Ranger who sacrificed herself for the others. She returns as a spirit and passes her morpher to Karone (Melody Perkins).
