One of the most exciting things fans are looking forward to seeing in the highly-anticipated Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness is the long-awaited dive into Marvel's ever-expanding multiverse, which promises to span across multiple different realities that have yet to be seen in the MCU.

With the record-breaking release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, viewers saw Marvel Studios make two non-MCU universes canon, and fans are expecting to see more of this in Multiverse of Madness. However, Marvel's on-screen realities make up an incredibly small percentage of their overall catalog of realities, with the comic books featuring hundreds more established alternate universes. From an Earth where anthropomorphic animal heroes exist in place of humans to a universe ravaged by zombified superheroes and villains, the multiverse's possibilities are literally endless. These alternate realities blur the boundaries between weird, dark, scary, and mind-blowing, and it would be incredible to see them materialized on-screen in Sam Raimi's upcoming film.

The Mangaverse (Earth-2301)

Marvel's Mangaverse

The perfect universe for manga and anime fans, Earth-2301 is home to Marvel's superhero manga variants, featuring many elements inspired by Japanese cultures, such as a Godzilla-sized Incredible Hulk and multiple Super-Robot-inspired Iron Man bots that combine to form a huge mech called Ultimate Iron Man.

Throughout the many Multiverse of Madness teasers, audiences know of at least one animated universe that Strange will visit which, although it doesn't look like the Mangaverse, blows the doors wide open for an appearance at some point in the movie. Marvel's Mangaverse would be incredible to see on the big screen, as its art style and anime tropes completely contrast with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it happens to be one of Marvel's wildest alternate realities.

Marvel 1602 (Earth-311)

Alternate versions of Marvel comics characters like Daredevil in the pages of Marvel 1602

Interestingly, the twisted history of Earth-311 was actually caused by an alternate dark future reality on Earth-460, where the villainous Purple Man became the 'President-For-Life', hunting down all of Earth's superheroes and sending Captain America far back into Earth-616's past... causing the Heroic Age to occur much earlier, and Earth-311 to form separately.

This dark version of Earth would be an awesome contrast to Multiverse Of Madness' vibrant colors, showcasing variants of previously established characters in a unique 1600s design, alongside their minimalized powers, traversing around a world still burdened by medieval rituals and societies. Doctor Strange played a big role in the Marvel 1602 comic storylines, so viewers could see this Strange variant and his universe.

Age Of Morgana Le Fey (Earth-26111)

When Ultron returned to Earth-61112 (a slightly divergent version of Earth-616), he launched a surprise attack on New York and quickly took over the world. All the surviving heroes escaped to the Savage Land, where they hatched a plan to travel back in time and eliminate Hank Pym before he created Ultron - which created another alternate dark future.

This dark universe became Earth-26111, which was half-conquered by the villainous sorceress Morgana le Fey after a war between magic and technology - where magic won. It would be interesting to see Strange's reactions after visiting an Earth which has been devasted by the use of magic, as it could help him comprehend the true scale and impossibility of the multiverse, as well as the extent to which his magical abilities can be used - and as a warning to the chaos Wanda could unleash.

Real-Time Universe (Earth-98)

The Fantastic 4 in Marvel's Earth 98

Earth-98 has an almost identical history as Earth-616, featuring all the same heroes, villains, items, and even Marvel's most important events, even though this reality's inhabitants age like they would in the real world. Earth-98 refuses to abide by Marvel's sliding timescale rule, meaning that all of its stories actually did start in 1961 alongside the first official Marvel comic book, and all the characters have aged normally since then.

This universe would be incredible for Strange to visit in Multiverse of Madness, as he would have the unique opportunity to meet a variant of himself who may have already been through so many events and moments that viewers have yet to see occur in the MCU, opening the door to some advice or revelation that could change the sorcerer forever.

Marvel Zombies (Earth-2149)

The infected Marvel Zombies attacking.

When an alternate variant of the Sentry traveled to Earth-2149, he accidentally brought a zombie virus with him which, in the space of 24 hours, infected every super-powered being on Earth and wiped out humanity. Quickly after this, the zombies traveled across the Universe, devouring everything, and journeying to alternate realities to continue their feast.

Zombiefied versions of both Wanda and Strange have been confirmed for Multiverse of Madness, and with What If...? setting up a reality filled with strong Marvel zombies, it seems highly likely that Earth-2149 will be explored in this much-anticipated sequel.

Larval Earth (Earth-8311)

The alternate version of the Avengers as animals in Marvel comics

Alongside the numerous dark alternate realities present throughout Marvel Comics, there are many that fall on the goofier side, including the Larval Earth, a comical depiction of Earth-616 where every character has been replaced with anthropomorphic animals, such as the world-famous Spider-Ham.

Although it seems strange, an animated reality strikingly similar to Earth-8311 can be seen in the Multiverse of Madness trailer, so there is a chance audiences could be seeing the Larvalverse on the big screen. Furthermore, with Spider-Ham already being a well-established character within the on-screen Marvel Multiverse, practically nothing is out of the picture.

Ruins (Earth-9591)

Madness truly rules over Earth-9591, a twisted alternate reality where everything went wrong. Ruins is one of Marvel's darkest ever comics, featuring disturbing different paths for Earth's heroes - such as Peter Parker's body excessively mutating, and the sudden deaths of the Avengers.

This reality would be an interesting addition to the MCU's upcoming horror movie, as it would be a direct contrast to the thriving and ever-expanding world of Earth-616 - something that could massively humble Strange's ego, helping him on his journey of self-discovery.

Cancerverse (Earth-10011)

Throughout the Cancerverse, life has beaten Death herself, as the entities known as the Many-Angled Ones have corrupted the minds of Reality-10011 to turn everyone into demons, cursed with ancient power and immortality - resulting in a universe full of undying corpses plagued by evil.

This would be awesome to see in Multiverse of Madness, as it truly is a terrifying universe that, although used to be an exact copy of Strange's homeworld, is now a hellish landscape, where everything that is supposed to be dead is still roaming freely - along with an incomprehensibly powerful corrupted variant of the Scarlet Witch.

House Of M (Earth-58163)

Magneto and his family ruling in House of M.

Massively inspiring WandaVision and Multiverse of Madness itself, Earth-58163 was an alternate reality created by Wanda during a breakdown when an attempt to control her backfired, creating a universe that saw mutants become Earth's dominant race, and humans dwindling.

She has gone through similar trauma through WandaVision, which many fans predict will heavily impact Wanda's journey in Multiverse of Madness, so viewers could see a version of House of M form throughout the movie, potentially leading to both the long-awaited introduction of mutants in the MCU and Scarlet Witch's iconic comic book line - "No more mutants".

Ultimate Universe (Earth-1610)

Marvel's heroes in Ultimate Universe

Earth-616's darker counterpart, the Ultimate Universe, reimagined all of Marvel's heroes and villains in the early 2000s to give Marvel Comics a much-needed refresher and introduced now-infamous characters such as Miles Morales and The Maker. Earth-1610 played an important role in the grand scheme of Marvel Comics, colliding with Earth-616 during the Multiverse's destruction - bringing together characters from across the Marvel Multiverse in Battleworld.

With the Multiverse Saga in full swing and the potential for a Secret Wars movie growing each day, Earth-1610 is sure to play an important role in the MCU going forward, and therefore it would make sense for Strange to visit the reality during Multiverse of Madness to set-up the future of the MCU and the fast-approaching Multiversal War.
