Figuring out the security door code in Poppy Playtime is the only way to begin exploring the abandoned Playtime Co. toy factory. After all the staff disappeared inside ten years ago, the player, an ex-employee, returns to find out what happened to them. Chapter 1 of Poppy Playtime has players face Huggy Wuggy, Playtime Co.’s most popular, most huggable toy since 1984.

Designed to hug forever, it’s no wonder that Chapter 1 of Poppy Playtime is titled “A Tight Squeeze” as players flee from Huggy Wuggy’s deadly embrace by navigating the factory with two extendable arms of their own. In order to enter the Playtime Co. toy factory, players must activate the blue hand scanner located directly above the factory door behind the front desk. It’s out of reach, and the player must find the GrabPack to get to it. The GrabPack is locked within the security room, and players need Poppy Playtime's door code to open it.

Poppy Playtime Door Code Solution

Poppy Playtime Security Door Code Lock

The Playtime Co. security door is locked with a color-coded keypad that requires the correct combination of four color presses to open it. Fortunately, the correct combination to Poppy Playtime's door code can be found in the gift shop on the other side of the lobby.

Upon entering the Playtime Co. shop in Poppy Playtime, players will notice that some of the boxes have been knocked down or opened, and, like the lobby, it seems completely abandoned. However, there is a model train circling above the player’s head that is still functioning. The order of the train cars in Poppy Playtime's gift shop is also the color code to the security door:

Security Door Color Code

Green

Pink

Yellow

Red

Returning to the security room and entering Poppy Playtime's door code will open the security room, where the player must watch another tape that introduces the GrabPack. Once the tape is over, the compartment to the left of the television will open, letting the player equip the GrabPack. It only has the blue hand for now, and players must locate the red hand later on within the factory.

After equipping the GrabPack, players can return to the entrance of the Playtime Co. factory and aim the blue arm at the hand scanner above the door. This will grant them access to the factory, start players on their journey to find the red hand in Poppy Playtime, and allow playtime to truly begin.
