The Poppy Playtime games feature terrifying toys like Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs, and Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 may tease some future foes. MOB Games' survival horror series takes players to the Playtime Co. toy factory, where they must solve puzzles and avoid bloodthirsty creatures on a quest to find the factory's vanished workforce. The scary toys from Poppy Playtime are already iconic, but Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 could introduce even more unsettling pursuers.
The original Poppy Playtime sets up the series' story and GrabPack puzzle mechanics while introducing the beloved Huggy Wuggy. The blue Playtime Co. mascot is displayed in the factory lobby throughout most of the game, but he comes alive to attack the player towards the end. Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 then focuses on Mommy Long Legs, a pink stretchy-limbed toy who forces the player to complete challenges under the threat of death. Mommy Long Legs is present through most of the second installment.
While Mommy Long Legs is the central focus of Poppy Playtime Chapter 2, she is not the only bloodthirsty toy featured in the new chapter. For example, players are forced to play a memory game called "Musical Memory" against a man-eating plush named Bunzo Bunny. A creepy cross between a dog and a caterpillar (aptly named PJ Pug-A-Pillar) also chases players through an obstacle course that functions similarly to Red Light, Green Light. Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 briefly features Kissy Missy, a pink female version of Huggy Wuggy, and a dinosaur named Bron is seen in the form of artwork and inanimate figures throughout the title. All of these toys in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 help to greatly expand the world of the Playtime Co. factory.
Poppy Playtime Ch. 3 Could Star Kissy Missy Or Bron
Since he's referenced but never met in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2, Bron the Dinosaur could be the perfect villain for Poppy Playtime Chapter 3. Dinosaurs are a staple of survival horror franchises like Dino Crisis, but the cheerful brontosaurus would stand out against typical Jurassic foes like velociraptors or T. rex. However, given the massive popularity of Huggy Wuggy, it would also be interesting to see Kissy Missy appear as the main monster in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3. Kissy Missy could pursue violent revenge against the protagonist, since they killed Huggy Wuggy in the game's first chapter, and many players already expect to see Kissy Missy in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 following her brief appearance in Chapter 2.
The toys drive the survival horror elements of Poppy Playtime, and each character's colorful design is a huge part of their terrifying appeal. Of the toys not yet faced by players in the halls of Playtime Co., Bron the Dinosaur and Kissy Missy seem like the most likely candidates to terrorize gamers in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3. However, a never-before-seen threat could also be introduced by MOB Games in the third installment. Many are curious to see a Daddy Long Legs in Poppy Playtime, too, so only time will tell what further threats lurk in the spine-chilling series' future.
