The mobile version of Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 has now been released, and MOB Games has released a new terrifying trailer to celebrate the iOS and Android launch of the game. The mobile version of Poppy Playtime Chapter 1 was previously made available for iOs and Android devices earlier this year. The development of Poppy Playtime is continuing at a slow but regular pace, with fans currently excited for the upcoming release of the episodic horror series' Chapter 3. Following an unnamed employee of Playtime Co., Poppy Playtime charges players with exploring the company's abandoned toy factory in search of its missing employees. Along the way, the protagonist encounters monstrous living toys which shed light on the dark secrets being hidden behind the factory's doors. With a recent teaser giving a release date next year, many fans are hoping that Poppy Playtime Chapter 3's monster will be just as memorable as previous villains Huggy Wuggy and Mommy Long Legs.Related: Poppy Playtime Teases Chapter 3 With Mysterious Gas MaskIn the meantime, developers MOB Games has now announced the release of Poppy Playtime Chapter 2 for iOS and Android, priced at $5.99 USD and $4.99 USD respectively. This matches the timing of the mobile release for Chapter 1, which was itself released during the development of Chapter 2 for PC. A new trailer for the release shows a young player finding themselves in Chapter 2's Musical Memory game, with the antagonistic Bunzo Bunny descending from above while crashing his cymbals together. Undaunted by this, the player begins to play the game via their phone, leading into a series of short gameplay clips taken from across the chapter. The release seems likely to prompt fresh debate on whether this is the better platform for Poppy Playtime.

Mommy Long Legs Eager For New Playmates

Mommy Long Legs can be heard at the very end of the trailer, gleeful over the arrival of a new playmate in the depths of the factory. Of course, both new and returning players may be somewhat less pleased with their situation, being forced to endure a series of deadly games for Mommy Long Legs' amusement. Since Poppy Playtime Chapter 2's original release in May, many have braved the stretchy doll's lair. This new release invites both those players and mobile-only gamers to face their fears of Playtime Co.'s living toys once more. At the same time, with many media outlets and even schools recently issuing warnings about Huggy Wuggy, it seems that many parents may need to be wary of the spike in Poppy Playtime-related media this release will doubtlessly inspire.

The iOS and Android release will come as exciting news for many fans of Poppy Playtime. Mobile releases provide both accessible alternate versions of games and an opportunity to replay a popular title. With Chapter 3 currently in development for PC, this will also serve as a way to drum up extra interest for the game whilst tiding over existing fans. Meanwhile, it appears that MOB Game's well-known and extensive merchandising efforts may be paying off in the near future. A recent leak has seemingly revealed new Poppy Playtime toys, including the titular doll.
